Jeddah: Jeddah Municipality employees have conducted 2,190 inspection tours in 11 sub-municipalities, checking on fuel stations, food and commercial establishments on roads leading to Makkah and other holy sites, to ensure the compliance of markets and commercial centers with rules and regulations, particularly during Hajj.
Undersecretary for Sub-Municipalities Eng. Mohammed Al-Mutairi said that the inspection teams conducted daily visits of all commercial, health, and food establishments, and that violations were dealt with, to safeguard the health and safety of pilgrims, residents, and visitors.
He added that these efforts are part of the seasonal plan implemented by the inspection teams to ensure the compliance of commercial, food, and health establishments with rules.
The municipality has urged people to contribute to improving services by reporting violations through the Balady app or by contacting the complaint center at 940.
