National Water Company Distributes Over 971,000 Cubic Meters of Water in Makkah and Holy Sites on Day of Tarwiyah


Arafat: The National Water Company (NWC) said that it distributed more than 971,000 cubic meters of water in Makkah and holy sites on the Day of Tarwiyah, to serve pilgrims.

NWC said that the water and sanitation operations in Makkah and holy sites are progressing according to plans, and that it distributed more than 745,000 cubic meters of water in Makkah and 226,000 cubic meters to the holy sites.

NWC also said it is operating round the clock, as per schedule, to serve pilgrims, adding that water was pumped to neighborhoods in Makkah 21 hours per day.

The company continues its efforts to ensure the water quality for pilgrims using fixed and mobile laboratories sites; 4,526 laboratory tests have been conducted so far.

It also emphasized that there have been no significant disruptions in its operational processes, and no cases in which safety and security were compromising. It said that it is ready to promptly address and resolve any emergencies, in case they occur.
