Martyrs and wounded in a series of Israeli raids targeting Sidon and the Zahrani coast in southern Lebanon

Western media reported a number of martyrs and wounded among civilians, as a result of a series of air strikes launched by Israeli fighters and drones on the town of Al-Najariyah, Sidon district, and the Zahrani coast.

It said that Israeli warplanes launched 3 raids targeting the town of Najariyah in the Sidon district, deep in southern Lebanon, in conjunction with raids carried out by Israeli drones on the same town.

Anti-Crime arrested three accused of theft and another one in his possession of an unlicensed firearm in Baghdad

Detachments of the Anti-Crime Directorate arrested three persons accused of theft and another one in his possession of an unlicensed firearm in Baghdad.

The Directorate stated in a statement: The detachments of the Baghdad Anti-Crime Directorate arrested three persons accused of stealing motorcycles, (2) of whom were caught red-handed while committing the theft within Al-Adhamiya, Al-Karada, and Al-Habibiya anti-crime offices.

It explained that this came during a security exercise conducted by the Baghdad Crime Control Directorate, which included deploying detachments and patrols in the main streets, commercial areas, and residential alleys to impose security and protect citizens’ property, control violations and suspicious elements, and verify wanted persons.

It noted that the practice resulted in the arrest of a person in his possession of an unlicensed firearm (a modified pistol), and measures were taken against him in accordance with the law.

Basra Police arrested a kidnapping gang that committed a murder in Al-Zubair district.

The Basra Governorate Police Command said yesterday, Thursday, that detachments of the Anti-Crime Department arrested three defendants who formed a kidnapping and murder gang in Al-Zubair district.

The Command added: After determining the whereabouts of the accused, a working team was formed from the Zubair Crime Control Division, which resulted in reaching them and arresting them. Legal measures were taken against the accused and they were referred to the competent authorities.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announces the destruction of more than a hundred Ukrainian drones

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Friday, that its forces destroyed more than a hundred Ukrainian drones, most of them in the Crimean Peninsula and Krasnodar, in addition to 6 drone boats last night.

It said in a statement that its air defenses destroyed and intercepted 51 Ukrainian drones over the Crimean Peninsula overnight, 44 others over the Krasnodar Territory, 6 over the Belgorod Oblast, and one over the Kursk Oblast.

It added that “Navy aircraft and patrol boats of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed 6 Ukrainian boats in the waters of the Black Sea.”

Russia thwarts a Ukrainian drone attack on the city of Novorossiysk

The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev, announced today, Friday, that the Kiev regime carried out an attack using drones on several targets in the city of Novorossiysk.

Kondratyev said via the Telegram application: ‘The Kiev regime attempted to carry out an attack against civilian targets in the city of Novorossiysk,’ noting that the air defense forces intercepted more than 10 drones, and as a result of their downing, local fires broke out.

He added: ‘According to preliminary information, there were no casualties,’ calling on ‘Novorossiysk residents to remain calm and not publish pictures and videos of the operation of air defense systems on social media networks.’

This Friday morning, the Islamic Resistance launched a drone attack on a Zionist military site in Gatoun.

It said in a statement that, in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, and in response to the assassination carried out by the Israeli enemy in the vicinity of the town of Qana, the Islamic Resistance launched an air attack today, Friday with a number of assault drones on the new headquarters of the 411th Artillery Battalion in Gatoun, they targeted the settlement tents and accommodation of its officers and soldiers, hitting their targets accurately and leaving a number of them dead or wounded.

In a show of solidarity with the resilient Palestinian people in Gaza and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, fighters from the Islamic Resistance on Friday issued a statement declaring that they have targeted multiple Israeli enemy locations with rocket and artillery fire.

At 03:15 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the enemy’s Jal Al Alam site with rocket and artillery fire.

Shortly after, at 04:00 pm, the resistance fighters struck the Bayad Blida site with artillery shells.

In another statement, the Islamic Resistance declared that at 04:00 pm, they targeted the Baghdadi site with artillery fire.

Additionally, at 04:30 pm, the resistance fighters aimed at espionage equipment in the Branit barracks, hitting it directly with appropriate weaponry.
