The Prime Minister directs field follow-up of service projects in the Ma’amel area


Baghdad, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed field follow-up of service projects in the Ma’amel area, southeast of Baghdad.

The Prime Minister’s media office stated in a statement: “Al-Sudani received, today, Tuesday, a group of dignitaries and representatives of Al-Zawraa District (formerly Al-Ma’amel area), southeast of Baghdad.”

According to the statement, Al-Sudani welcomed the local delegation. He also praised the efforts of the head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, in following up on the service conditions of Al-Zawraa District, and listened to the attendees’ proposals and the most prominent service problems that the district suffers from, and the proposals for treatment, stressing the importance of holding these meetings and continuous visits; In order for the official to listen to the citizen, and also for the citizen to be informed of the programs and problems, the responsibility is shared, stressing the importance of informing citizens of the service contexts an
d respecting the sanctity of streets, sidewalks and public spaces.

The Prime Minister confirmed his full knowledge of the service and living details, and the suffering of citizens on the outskirts of Baghdad, pointing out that the government continues to prepare and prepare for new cities and the ring road linking the outskirts of Baghdad, and all projects that improve the reality of Al-Ma’amel area, as part of the outskirts that have suffered from neglect for decades.

Al-Sudani explained: “The uncalculated and uncontrolled expansion requires double services, and is part of the electricity problem that the citizen faces today,” indicating: “Baghdad and its outskirts need hospitals that contain the large population expansion.”

The Prime Minister referred to the government’s plans to establish hospitals that cover the actual need of the outskirts of Baghdad, despite attempts to obstruct the achievement, including the burning of a hospital project, which was an act of an agent.

He also referred to the stalle
d projects that affected the parties, most of which are service projects and their continuation constitutes a waste of public money, stressing: “The factories area (Al-Zawraa district) falls within the challenges that the government is facing to change the service reality, and the environmental situation there constitutes a priority, and we are working to accelerate the procedures to find solutions for it, with an emphasis on establishing school buildings, which are among the government’s priorities.” The Prime Minister directed the formation of a working team to follow up on the implementation of service projects in Al-Zawraa district, as well as finding radical solutions to the sanitary landfill file, and he also directed the repetition of the meeting every three months; in order to review the completed projects and service files.
