Supreme Court Calls on Muslims to Sight Shawwal Crescent on Tuesday Evening

Riyadh, The Supreme Court has called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent of the month of Shawwal on Tuesday evening, 29 Ramadan, 1442 H, corresponding to 11 May, 2021.

In a statement, the Supreme Court called on whoever sights the crescent by naked eyes or through binoculars to report to the nearest court and register his testimony, or report to the nearest center to help reach the nearest court.

OIC Welcomes Saudi Arabia’s Intention to Hold Hajj this Year

Jeddah, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen has welcomed the Ministry of Hajj’s announcement to hold Hajj this year according to health, security and organizational measures that guarantee maintaining the health of pilgrims and visitors and performing rituals easily and in a safe environment.

The secretary general also praised the continuous keenness of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, head of the Islamic summit, and HRH the Crown Prince, on enabling Muslims to perform Hajj and Umrah.

Al-Othaimeen also commended the attention and care of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the health and safety of worshippers, referring to the success in organizing last year’s Hajj through providing the utmost attention to the health and safety of worshippers under precautionary measures and preventive procedures against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in a way that conforms to Sharia teachings in preserving lives.

He stressed that caring for worshippers is part of the approach that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ government has been adopting since Allah has granted it the honor of serving the Two Holy Mosques, commending, at the same time, the big capabilities the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia possesses in organizing Hajj under the COVID-19 pandemic.

KSrelief Inaugurates Eid Al-Fitr Zakat Distribution Project in Yemen

Aden, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center inaugurated in Aden Governorate today the Eid Al-Fitr Zakat Distribution Project in Yemen, targeting nine governorates, benefiting up to 42,000 families, 294,000 individuals.

General Coordinator of High Relief Committee Jamal Balfakih commended KSrelief’s efforts and stand by the Yemeni people in light of the difficult economic conditions in Yemen, stressing the importance of Zakat Al-Fitr project for the benefiting families.

The distribution of Zakat Al-Fitr falls within humanitarian and relief projects being implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for the Yemeni people during the holy month of Ramadan.

KSrelief Provides Shelter Aid for People Affected by Floods in Tarim Directorate, Yemen

Hadhramaut, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed shelter baskets for people affected by floods and torrential rains in Tarim Directorate, Hadhramaut Governorate, Yemen.

Director of Yemeni Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Office Dr. Abdullah Bagham praised the support by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, since the first day of the flood disaster that swept some areas of Tarim Directorate, pointing out that the affected families are suffering difficult conditions due to this disaster.

In the same context, the Representative of KSrelief in Al-Mahrah Governorate Abdulaziz Bawazir visited the areas affected by floods and torrential rains, which killed five people, caused the collapse of a number of homes and caused great damage to the infrastructure.

KSrelief Inaugurates Eid Al-Fitr Zakat Distribution Project in Jordan

Amman, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center inaugurated today the Eid Al-Fitr Zakat Distribution Project in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

KSrelief is distributing 10 KGs of rice for each needy family in a number of Jordanian cities, benefiting 24,869 Jordanian and Syrian families, 124,345 individuals.

The distribution of Zakat Al-Fitr falls within humanitarian and relief projects being implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for needy people worldwide.

Interior Ministry: Arrivals to the Kingdom from Countries Not Listed in the Travel Suspension will be Subject to Institutional Quarantine

Riyadh, An official source at the Ministry of Interior stated that all passengers arriving in the Kingdom from countries that are not included in the travel suspension will be subject to an institutional quarantine, adding that this step, which comes in line with the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to curb the spread of the (Covid-19), and based on recommendations by the competent health authorities, will go into force starting Thursday, May 20, 2021.

The ministry’s statement excluded the following categories from the institutional quarantine, affirming the importance of adhering to precautionary measures approved by the Ministry of Health:

First: Arrivals via airports, including Male and Female citizens and their spouses, daughters and sons of female citizens, and domestic workers accompanying any of the aforementioned groups; unvaccinated domestic workers accompanying an immune resident; immune individuals; official delegations; holders of a diplomatic visa, diplomats and their families residing with them; air crews, and passengers involved in health supply chains, as decided by the Ministry of Health.

Second: Arrivals via land and sea ports, including male and female citizens and their spouses, daughters and sons of female citizens, and domestic workers accompanying any of the aforementioned groups; immune individuals, and their companions under the age of 18 years; holders of a diplomatic visa, and diplomats and their families residing with them; crews of marine vessels; truck drivers and their assistants via all ports; passengers involved in the health supply chains, as decided by the Ministry of Health, and other excluded cases, as determined by the competent authorities.

The excluded categories, except for the immune individuals, will be required to apply house quarantine, with an emphasis on the need to obtain a valid health insurance policy to cover the risks of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) approved by the official authorities in the Kingdom, as this will be applied to all non-immune arrivals arriving in Saudi Arabia.

The source affirmed the need for everyone to adhere to precautionary and preventive measures, as well as the health requirements, adding that all precautionary and preventive measures related to travel are subject to continuous assessment by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), and as per the developments of the epidemiological situation.

Al-Jarad Mosque Opens for Worshippers after Renovation

Hail, Several historic mosques are located in Hail in the north of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Al-Jarad Historic Mosque which has reopened its doors for worshippers after it was renovated as part of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for Historical Mosques Renovation in Saudi Arabia, under which 30 mosques in 10 regions will be restored and rehabilitated.

The historic mosque is situated nearly 3 km east of Hail, at the bottom of Mount Samra near King Faisal Road.

The mosque, which was built in 1279 AH, making it one of the oldest mosques in Maghaydah, underwent a restoration process in 1382 AH and continued to receive worshippers until the year 1412 AH. Prominent imams of the mosque include Abdulaziz Rashid Al-Jamil, Salem Nasser Al-Jamil, and Abdullah Hilal Al-Jamil.

Al-Jarad Mosque is built with mud and stone with a roof made of Tamarix and palm fronds. It covers 450 square meters and can accommodate 192 worshipers. It consists of the prayer area, a retreat, restrooms and ablution places, and a depot.

OIC Strongly Condemns Attempt to Target Abha Airport with a Bomb-Laden UAV

Jeddah, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has expressed his strong condemnation of the attempt of the terrorist Houthi militia to target Abha Airport with a bomb-laden UAV in a deliberate manner to target the civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He hailed the vigilance and professionalism of the forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, as they managed to intercept and destroy it.

Dr. Al-Othaimeen reiterated the OIC standing along the side of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability and safety of its citizens and residents on its territories.

Weqaya Updates Protocols and Precautionary Measures for Passengers Arriving in the Kingdom

Riyadh, Based on the Interior Ministry’s announcement and in light of the Saudi government’s efforts to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the latest developments related to the pandemic at the global level, the Public Health Authority (Weqaya) disclosed that an institutional quarantine will be applied for non-citizens arriving in the Kingdom who are yet to take two doses of the vaccines approved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Weqaya called on all non-citizens coming to the Kingdom who have not completed receiving the doses of the vaccines approved by the Kingdom, or not completed 14 days since being vaccinated, to abide by the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and to adhere to a 7-day institutional quarantine measure, with a PCR test on the first and seventh days of their arrival.

Weqaya also affirmed the importance of obtaining valid health insurance to cover the risks of the (Covid-19) in the Kingdom before the arrival for the categories described in the relevant health “protocol” published on Weqaya’s website, adding that the residents, who are coming from abroad, to the Kingdom with “immune” status in Tawakkalna app will be excluded.

Weqaya noted that the new protocols will go into effect starting May 20, 2021, adding that the quarantine will not be applied to the immune residents and visitors coming to the Kingdom from abroad who have spent 14 days since completing their doses of vaccines accredited by the Kingdom, adding that they will be needed to provide a PCR test certificate taken within 72 hours since their departure date. This measure will be applicable for passengers above 8 years old.

NATO policy towards Syria, other states proves its aggressiveness, criminality, Hrdli?ka says

Prague, Leader of the Communist Party of Slovakia (KSS) Jozef Hrdlicka has affirmed that the policy of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) towards Syria and other states proves that it is an aggressive and criminal organization, calling for dissolving it in the best interest of the world.

“The military intervention and attacks which have been carried out by the NATO in Syria, Iraq, Libya and other states represent tangible evidence on that it is not only an aggressive organization, but it is also a criminal organization,” Hrdlicka said in an interview with the Slovak Extra Plus website.

He noted that the NATO is defensive as some claim, but it commits crimes in different parts of the world without punishment, asserting that dissolving it will give a greater chance for peace and stability in the world.

UAE Condemns Houthis’ Attempt to Target Abha Airport with Bomb-Laden UAV

Abu Dhabi, The United Arab Emirates has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia’s attempts to target Abha Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a deliberate and systematic manner with a bomb-laden UAV, which was intercepted by the forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.

In a statement issued today, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed that these recurrent terrorist attacks reflect the Houthi militia’s blatant disregard for the international community and all international laws and norms.

The UAE Ministry also urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these recurrent acts of terror, which pose menacing threats to critical and civilian facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its security, the world’s energy supplies and the global economy, stressing that the recurring threat of these attacks over the recent period is a grave escalation that represents new evidence of these militias’ attempts to undermine the security and stability in the region.

The UAE Ministry has renewed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over these subversive terrorist attacks and reiterated its stand against all threats to the Kingdom’s security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territories.

Shaaban: Syria has given an example to the world that people’s Will can’t be defeated

Aleppo, Special Advisor at the presidency of the Republic, Bouthaina Shaaban, affirmed that Syria, with its resilience and victory, has given a model to the world that the will of people can’t be defeated.

“Syria, in light of its strategic geographic position which has been an important destination for the Silk Road between the East and West, is an influential country,” shaaban said at a lecture entitled “Syria and regional and international situation,” at the National Union for the Syrian Students, Aleppo branch.

Shaaban added that Syria has been and still is a unique example for coexistence and it stands against terrorism, occupation and hegemony and call for equity regardless of religion.

She affirmed that the popular participation in the upcoming presidential elections will be an honorable model for what has been offered by the Syrians in their defense of land and sovereignty.
