Saudi stock market index closes at 13463.09 points

Riyadh– The main Saudi stock index closed today down 71.31 points at 13463.09 points with transactions worth 5.9 billion riyals.

The volume of traded shares reached 120 million shares, divided by more than 300,000 deals, in which the shares of 40 companies recorded an increase in their value, while the shares of 166 companies closed down.

The Saudi parallel stock index (Nomu) closed today, up 1.75 points at 23,832.20 points with transactions worth 33.6 million riyals, and the volume of traded shares reached more than 300,000 shares, divided by 1,316 deals.

CEO of Saudi Fund for Development receives Maldivian Finance Minister

Riyadh– The CEO of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad received today at the fund’s headquarters in Riyadh the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Maldives Ibrahim Ameer and his accompanying delegation in the presence of Maldives’ Ambassador to the Kingdom Mohamed Khaleel.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest, the Fund’s developmental projects in the Republic of Maldives, and following up on the progress of their implementation.

The Maldivian Minister expressed his thanks and gratitude to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that the projects and programs provided by the Kingdom through the Fund contribute to the development of infrastructure and basic services for the population in the Maldives, and have had a positive and tangible impact on the lives of the people.

It is worth noting that the Saudi Fund for Development has financed 13 development projects and programs in the Republic of Maldives in vital sectors including infrastructure, health, transportation, housing, urban development , seaports, and other sectors.

Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City Names David Henry as Chief Executive Officer

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia– The recently announced Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City has appointed David Henry as the Chief Executive Officer of the City. An industry veteran with over four decades of experience in property development, David has been leading the team responsible for developing the City from the beginning of the project towards the goal of establishing it as a premier ecosystem for youth, and a global center for incubating innovative, educational, and creative enterprises.

Fulfilling HRH the Crown Prince’s ambitious vision for the City, David is prioritizing working alongside a dedicated workforce on the project to deliver a City that will foster Saudi youth talent. Focusing on promoting Saudization with particular emphasis on women empowerment and upskilling of staff, David aims to increase the percentage of Saudi talent working on the team from the current 58 percent to reach 70 percent by the end of 2022.

David’s industry experience includes working in Australia and Southeast Asia. His career began at Lend Lease Group in Sydney, and Mur Group, a diversified property development company. David formerly held the position of CEO for Springfield City Group, a company specialized in the development of a new city in SE Queensland in 1992. As Managing Director of VinaCapital Real Estate, David was responsible for an active portfolio of 40 plus projects. Expanding and diversifying his reach, he was Managing Director of the LSE AIM board listed Vinaland Fund, and a member of the VCRE Investment Committee.

HRH Crown Prince Congratulates Rashad Al-Aleimi on Taking Oath of Office as President of Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen

Jeddah– His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has sent a cable of congratulation to President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Aleimi on the occasion of taking the oath of office as president of the Presidential Leadership Council in the Republic of Yemen.

In his cable, HRH the Crown Prince expressed his best wishes for the president and members of the council.

HRH the Crown Prince also voiced keenness to support and further enhance relations between the two countries in a way that realizes growth and prosperity for the two brotherly countries and peoples.

Emergency Center for Epidemic Control Provides Services to 16,196 Beneficiaries in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen during March

Hajjah, Yemen– The Emergency Center for Epidemic Control has provided treatment services to beneficiaries in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen, with the support of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).

During March 2022, the Emergency Center received 16,196 beneficiaries with various health conditions and provided them with necessary medical services.

The clinics also provided 4,923 individuals with medications.

More than 9,077 Umrah Performers Received Medical Services in Makkah Hospitals

Makkah– The Chief Executive Officer of the Healthcare Cluster in Makkah, Dr. Hatem bin Ahmed Al-Omari, inspected today the health facilities in the central region during the last ten days of Ramadan, where he was briefed on the readiness of the medical facilities and the efforts made to serve the guests and visitors of the Grand Mosque.

The tour included Ajyad Emergency Hospital, Al-Haram Hospital, and Emergency Centers, the various departments of the hospital including the intensive care units, the visual triage area, and the Mosque’s three emergency centers.

Since the beginning of Ramadan, more than 9,077 Umrah performers have received health services through emergency centers, Al-Haram Hospital, and the hospitals of the Holy Capital, in addition to proving medical services to 317 pilgrims through mobile clinics in the central region and the entrance to Makkah, with 36 emergency surgeries performed, and 349 dialysis, 26 catheters, and 79 outpatient visits.
