Algerian Medical Mission Hails Health Care in This Year’s Hajj Season As Outstanding

The Algerian medical mission extended its thanks and gratitude to the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the care and attention provided to serve the pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season 2022.

The mission thanked Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel for the medical services provided by the Ministry to the pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites.

On the occasion, Haj Maati Reda Khalil, the head of the Algerian Medical Mission in this year’s Hajj season said that the great efforts exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the convenience of pilgrims are outstanding, particularly with regard to the health aspect that we have touched since the beginning of the Hajj season.

Day of Arafah’s Electrical Loads Reach 327 Megawatts, Saudi Electricity Company Reports

The Saudi Electricity Company revealed the stability of the electrical service on the day of Arafah, in all holy sites, and no interruptions recorded.

The head of the western sector in the company, the general supervisor of the Hajj plan, Eng. Abdulsalam bin Rashid Al-Omari, explained that the company’s operational plan this year is going successfully, and that the loads recorded yesterday in Arafat area amounted to 327 megawatts.

Al-Omari added that the company seeks to provide an electrical service with a high level of reliability and efficiency for sake of the pilgrims’ convenience, stressing that electrical network in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, and the Holy Sites witnessed 46 new projects this year, in the fields of transmission and distribution.

With 99,000 sq.m, Al-Haramain Train Terminal at KAIA Stands as the Wrold’s Largest

Occupying an area of 99,000 square meters within Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA), Al-Haramain (two holy mosques) train station stands as the world’s largest terminal connected to an airport, an official report said.

The airport’s station is part of the terminal stations of Al-Haramain express project which also include Makkah, Al-Madinah, Jeddah and Rabigh King Abdullah Economic City.

Accordingly, KAIA has turned to be the Middle East’s only airport connected to a railway station.

The airport terminal accommodates six trains at one time, able to operate a journey every ten minutes during peak hours, said the report.

The project is designed to meet the increasing numbers of pilgrims and Umrah performers coming from inside and outside the Kingdom and alleviate pressure on Makkah, Jeddah and Madina highways.

As many as 40 male and female Saudi highly- qualified personnel are administering the station at one shift, the report said, adding that the project complies with the requirements of the Kingdom vision 2030.

Electricity Current Running in Mina Valley to Serve Pilgrims, Proved Sustainable, Officials Report

The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announced that electricity current running in Mina valley to serve pilgrims has never cut despite the surging loads compared with last year.

In an official report, SEC said that the load recorded during the first of Eid days amounted to 246 megawatts, showing state-of-the-art punctuality and sustainablity of service.

The company said that it has provided 46 new projects in the field of supply, distribution and provisoin of energy feeding resources, overpassing normal load expectations.

Chechen President leaves Jeddah

President Ramzan Kadyrov of the Chechen Republic, left Jeddah today after performing Hajj rituals.

At King Abdulaziz International Airport, the President was seen off by Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Advisor to the Governor of Makkah Region, Governor of Jeddah, and a number of officials.

Prince Turki bin Saud bin Turki bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has passed away, the Royal Court Announced.

Funeral prayer on his soul will be performed at Imam Turki bin Abdullah mosque in the city of Riyadh on Sunday corresponding to the 12th of Zulhijjah 1443 H., the statement said, appealing to Allah Almighty to bestow his mercy and forgiveness on his soul.

Sudanese Sovereignty Council’s Member Receives Saudi Ambassador

A member of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Dr. Al-Hadi Idrissi, received here the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar.

During the meeting, they discussed the current crisis in West Darfur, the reconciliations that took place between the conflicting tribes in Jebel Moon and the reconciliation efforts reached between the conflicting tribes.

The current situation in Sudan was also discussed.

MIKATI CONGRATULATES SISI, ERDOGAN AND ARAB FOREIGN MINISTERS ON EID AL-ADHA

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Mikati also exchanged congratulations with the Prime Ministers of Iraq Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Qatar, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Jordan, Bishr Al-Khasawneh, and Egypt, Mustafa Madbouly.

The PM had congratulatory contacts with Arab foreign ministers, wishing their countries wellness, prosperity and progress.

“Lebanon appreciates these countries to stand by it permanently and to support its people, especially in the difficult circumstances it is going through,” he concluded.

Minister of Transport and Logistics inspects electric scooter used for first time in this year’s Hajj season

Minister of Transport and Logistics, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, has inspected the electric scooter being used for the first time in this year’s Hajj season. The Minister was briefed on the workflow of this device and the method of training pilgrims to use them.

It is noteworthy that the scooter is one of the modern modes of transport that the transport and logistics system seeks to expand in various modes of transport to serve pilgrims. The scooter aims to shorten the travel time between the holy sites. The distance it travels between Arafat and Muzdalifah is 15 minutes, compared to an hour walking on foot. Its suitability for use in the coming years will be assessed.

GCC Secretary General commends Kingdom’s services to pilgrims and Umrah performers throughout its history

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the Arab States, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, has valued the great and appreciated efforts made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to serve the holy sites, pilgrims and Umrah performers.

He praised the care accorded by the King and HRH Crown Prince for the service of the Two Holy Mosques, pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Holy Mosque, and the sincere efforts made by the Kingdom to organize the Hajj season every year.

Dr. Al-Hajraf affirmed that serving the Two Holy Mosques is a great honor and responsibility that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has undertaken since the era of the late founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, his sons, the Kings, until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He extended his best congratulations to the King, HRH Crown Prince, the wise government and the Saudi people on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha and the Kingdom’s success in implementing the Hajj plans for the year 1443 and raising the level of services provided for pilgrims year after year to enable them to perform Hajj rituals in an atmosphere full of tranquility, faith and safety.
