Worshippers perform Eid Al-Adha prayer throughout Kingdom

worshippers performed today the blessed Eid Al-Adha prayer in the Grand Holy Mosque, the Prophet’s Holy Mosque, and in various parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In Makkah, worshipers performed the prayer in the Grand Holy Mosque and led by imam and preacher of the Mosque, Dr. Abdullah bin Awwad Al-Juhani.

In Madinah, worshipers performed Eid Al-Adha prayer in the Prophet’s Holy Mosque. The prayer was attended by Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah region.

In Riyadh region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region, performed the prayer with the crowds of worshippers at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque.

The prayer was also performed in various parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minister of Islamic Affairs receives head of Pakistani Islamic Scholars Group

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Ministry’s Works on Hajj, Umrah and Visit, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, received today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Mina, the head of the Islamic Scholars Group in the Republic of Pakistan, Sheikh Fadhl Al-Rahman.

The Minister stressed that the ministry is working in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership to provide the best services for pilgrims so that they can perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.

He praised the depth and strength of the historical and distinguished relations between the Kingdom and sisterly Pakistan, which stem from the ties of Islamic fraternity, stressing the ministry’s keenness to strengthen and develop cooperation with all Islamic societies in Pakistan to spread the approach of moderation, confront extremism and hatred and spread tolerance.

For his part, the Head of the Islamic Scholars Group in the Republic of Pakistan expressed his thanks and praise to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince for their efforts in caring for the affairs of Hajj and pilgrims and providing all support and assistance for them.

Interior Minister Inaugurates National Early Warning Platform in Emergencies

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, inaugurated at his office in Makkah today the national platform for early warning in emergency situations using the cellular broadcast service.

On the occasion, the Director General of Civil Defense, Lieutenant-General Suleiman bin Abdullah Al-Amro said, during the inauguration, that the platform will contribute to protecting lives and property and reducing the effects, which arise as a result of risks occurring.

He added that through the platform, warning messages are sent to phones connected to mobile communications networks accompanied by a distinctive tone with a loud sound.

The launch of the platform comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Interior represented by the General Directorate of Civil Defense to harness technology and keep pace with technical development in all fields.

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Receives Mufti of Egypt in Mina

The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, received at his residence in Mina, the Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Shawki Allam, who came to greet and congratulate him on the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials.

OIC Secretary General Congratulates Islamic World on Eid Al-Adha

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Ibrahim Taha has extended his best wishes to the Islamic (Ummah) nation on the Blessed Eid al-Adha 2022.

He also congratulated their Majesties, Excellences, Highnesses, the Kings, Princes, and Heads of the OIC’s Member States on this blessed occasion.

Brahim Taha congratulated the headquarters country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Chair of the 14th Islamic Summit, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince for the successful handling of this year’s Hajj season, and providing the required facilities and services for the safe performance of Hajj rituals, as well as the excellent care given to the pilgrims, ensuring their safety.

The OIC Secretary General prayed to Allah Almighty to make this occasion the beginning of immediate relief that heals the spirit of the Ummah and gathers it to realize stability, peace, and prosperity in all countries of the Islamic world.

Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program Settle in Mina

Pilgrims who are the guests of the “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj and Umrah” from the families of the injured, martyrs and Islamic figures have completed the stoning of Jamrat al-Aqaba in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

The pilgrims of the program performed the greatest pillar of Hajj by standing (wuqûf) in faith before Allah Almighty in Arafat, then they spent the last night in Muzdalifah and stoned today Jamrat Al-Aqabah amidst integrated services provided by the various governmental sectors.

It is worth mentioning that the program is under the supervision of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

More than 2,200 Health Volunteers for Serving Pilgrims in Hajj 2022

This year’s Hajj season 2022 is witnessing an active and distinguished participation of health volunteers in all sites throughout Makkah and the holy sites under the supervision of the Health Volunteering Center at the Ministry of Health.

More than 2,200 volunteers are participating in this year’s Hajj season.

The volunteers voiced their great joy and happiness, stressing that their feeling of serving the pilgrims is indescribable.

SARC Volunteers Vow that Serving Pilgrims is a Humanitarian Message and Great Honor

Male and female volunteers joining the Saudi Authority for Red Crescent (SARC) are honored to provide services and assume great responsibilities towards pilgrims.

In statements to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), active personnel of SARC vowed that there are many tasks and roles entrusted to them to provide first aid, awareness and guidance services at the disposal of pilgrims.

Hajj Ministry Implements Comprehensive Insurance for Pilgrims in Hajj 2022

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has implemented the comprehensive insurance program for pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom, with the aim of enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and comfort, in accordance with the goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, in order to improve the experience of pilgrims and Umrah performers.

The program comes under the supervision of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Saudi Central Bank “SAMA” with the aim of enriching the experience of the pilgrims during their presence in the Kingdom.

The program allows finding various solutions and options that ensure finding quick treatments for the pilgrims to perform their rituals in comfort and ease.

Health Ministry provides a mobile field hospital with 50 beds for emergency cases during Hajj season

The Ministry of Health has provided a mobile field hospital in the Holy Sites to raise the level of readiness in the event of any emergency situations to serve pilgrims during the performance of the Hajj rituals.

It indicated that the hospital includes a medical staff consisting of doctors, nurses, and consultants, and provides its services in Arafat area, and needy areas, while accommodating a workforce up to 100 health staff.

The Ministry pointed out that the mobile field hospital accommodates 50 beds, including 4 beds for intensive care, and provides intensive care service for critical cases, in addition to emergency services, noting that the hospital is equipped with all necessary equipment for emergency cases, in addition to sections for laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and a mobile operating room.

Over 78,000 Pilgrims Receive Treatment Services in Makkah, Holy Sites and Taif

The Ministry of Health has provided treatment services through hospitals and health centers in Makkah, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Mina, Jamarat and Taif for pilgrims, whose number reached (78,433) pilgrims since the first day of the month of Dhul-Qa’dah until yesterday.

The Ministry stated that the pilgrims benefited from quality specialized treatment services, as hospitals and health centers provided a range of services, including (8) open-heart surgeries, (155) cardiac catheterization, while (345) dialysis and (10) endoscopy and 230 surgeries were performed, while 732 pilgrims were admitted to hospitals.

The Virtual Health Hospital also participated in providing a number of virtual services, including (8) cases of stroke diagnosis, (1) one case for remote critical care and (70) cases of remote radiology, while the number of beneficiaries of immediate consultation services (Sehati app) reached 1859 pilgrims until the end of the day of Arafat.

It is worth mentioning that during this year’s Hajj season 1443 Hijri (2022), the Ministry of Health prepared its health facilities in Makkah, the holy sites and Madinah to provide treatment services to the pilgrims, as the number of hospitals reached (23) ones, supported by (147) health centers, and their clinical capacity increased to (4,654) beds, while the number of beds allocated for intensive care reached (1080), and those designated for heat strokes (238), and the number of health cadres qualified to serve the pilgrims reached about 25,000 practitioners.

The Ministry has also prepared medical points on the holy sites’ Train and Al-Haramain Train, and intensified its efforts in the central area of the Holy Grand Mosque in Makkah, in addition to providing (180) ambulances, and setting up 16 emergency centers on Jamarat Bridge facility in the holy site of Mina.

More than 1,800 Pilgrims Receive Treatment Services at Mina Emergency Hospital

The Ministry of Health, represented by the emergency hospital in Mina, has provided its services to more than 1,800 male and female pilgrims from the beginning of its operation on the 7th day until the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1443 Hijri corresponding to July 9, 2022.

The Ministry said that the hospital provided its treatment and ambulatory services to 256 various cases in the emergency department, 1,100 outpatients to the hospital’s clinics and 27 inpatients.

The hospital also received 5 life-saving cases, 4 of which were transferred to King Abdullah City Hospital in Makkah and one case to Al Noor Hospital, as well as 4 cases in the intensive care department, all of them have been discharged healthy from the hospital.

The Ministry of Health further said that Mina Emergency Hospital provides all necessary services and medical interventions, and medicines to cases of pilgrims who suffer from general stress, chronic diseases such as (pressure, diabetes, heart, and asthma crises), and children who suffer from fatigue due to the heat, Sun or congestion, in addition to people with chronic diseases as a result of stress.
