ZATCA participates in FIATA 2022 conference in Republic of Korea

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) participated in the FIATA World Congress 2022, held in the Republic of Korea from 14-16 September, and organized by the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), in the presence and participation of many parties interested in the logistics sector from different countries from across the world.
Through this participation, ZATCA aims to achieve gains, most notably strengthening the Kingdom’s role in the global market by offering and providing digital and technical services and solutions in customs work, in addition to highlighting the services it provides in facilitating cross-border trade, in addition to knowing the most important challenges facing the logistics sector.
It also seeks to enhance international relations between the authority and officials and experts in logistics and trade facilitation, as the FIATA exhibition represents an opportunity to discuss developments in the logistical matter and global trends of logistics services and their role in facilitating global trade, improving industries and services in transport, shipping and logistics and developing consolidated shipping documents.
FIATA Exhibition and Conference is an international platform for presenting and discussing all that concerns the shipping and logistics sector, highlighting the future of the logistics sector in light of technical developments, the role of the logistics sector in achieving regional and global integration, and the importance of advancing human capabilities operating in the sector.

Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions praises Makkah Declaration for promoting peace, dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect

The final statement of The seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which brings together more than 100 delegations of major religious leaders influential on the international scene, in the presence of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, praised the historic Makkah Declaration, which was signed by the grand Imams and Muftis of the Islamic world, scholars and thinkers in Makkah, stressing its importance in promoting peace, dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect, for the good of humanity.
Secretary of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa delivered a video call at the opening session of the conference, in which he addressed the importance of “common values” and the impact of religious diplomacy in promoting these values, reiterating the importance of dialogue and conscious civilizational and cultural communication, and that most conflicts throughout human history have been the result of ideas on religions, which only express the orientations of their beholders.
The Islamic activities participating in the conference praised the Makkah Declaration, in addition to what was cited by all followers of religions and cultures in the final statement of the conference, in a great recognition of the qualitative historical achievement of this Declaration, which is a significant turning point in contemporary Islamic history, in its legitimate and intellectual context which embraces all Islamic sects.
The Makkah Declaration was celebrated on various international platforms with its religious and cultural diversity and was adopted by the Islamic countries at the meeting of their foreign ministers in Niamey, Niger. The document became a reference in training imams in several counties and was considered with great appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who patronized its international conference held in Makkah in 2019, organized by MWL, and signed by 1200 muftis and scholars and more than 4,500 Islamic thinkers.

Participants in King Abdulaziz International Competition arrive in Madinah

The 153 participants in the King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran in its 42nd session, representing 111 countries, have arrived in Madinah, after the conclusion of the competition’s final qualifiers.
The secretariat of the competition said that it had prepared a program for the participants, including visiting the Prophet’s Holy Mosque and the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran, and a visit to the Quba Mosque. The participants will also visit Mount Uhud and the Uhud Martyr’s cemetery.
The participants expressed their appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to HRH the Crown Prince for providing this opportunity to visit these holy sites, asking Almighty Allah to reward them with the best reward for their care of the Holy Quran.

Supported by KSrelief, Al-Jadah Health Center in Yemen provides services for 5,852 beneficiaries in a week

Supported by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Al-Jadah Health Center clinics in Midi District, Hajjah Governorate, Yemen, provided medical services for 5,852 beneficiaries during the period from 24 to 30 August 2022.
The emergency clinic offered services to 635 beneficiaries, the internal clinic 376 beneficiaries, the surgery and dressing department 71 beneficiaries, the epidemiological clinic 480 patients, the medical referral clinic 12 beneficiaries, the pediatric clinic 242 children, and the obstetrics department 14 patients, while prescriptions were distributed to 1,777 patients, and 86 patients benefited from the Radiology department,
Moreover, 341 laboratory tests were conducted, and 1,818 individuals underwent awareness sessions by the Awareness and Education Department. In accompanying services, the Nursing Services Department examined 777 individuals, and the Blood Transfusion Department received 4 beneficiaries, while 3 waste disposal activities were implemented.

On behalf of HRH Crown Prince, Governor of Makkah Region attends closing ceremony of Crown Prince Camel Festival 2022 in Taif

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, attended today the closing ceremony of Crown Prince Camel Festival 2022 on the historic Taif Square.
The Prince crowned the winners of the first places and the winner of Crown Prince Sword Award from the United Arab Emirates Manie bin Ali Al- Shamsi.
The total financial prizes of the festival amounted to 56 million riyals.
The ceremony was attended by Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, and a number of princes and officials.

Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs visits Nur Sultan Mosque in Kazakhstan

Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, visited Nur Sultan Mosque in Kazakhstan, toured its various facilities, and was briefed on the details of the mosque, which is one of the most famous Islamic monuments, and was recently opened, and was nominated to enter the Guinness World Records.
The minister stressed the importance of caring for the houses of worship and the need to activate their role in spreading the method of moderation and addressing hate speech and activating call programs that serve the Kazakh Muslims and the country’s visitors, and that the houses of worship be a beacon for love and peace.

KSrelief distributes more than 219 tons of food baskets in Aden

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday distributed 219 tons and 350 kilograms of food baskets to needy families in the districts of Al-Bariqa, Dar Saad and Sheikh Othman in Aden governorate, benefiting 12,300 individuals.
This comes within a project to support food security for the year 2022 AD, being implemented by the center in Yemen and aiming to distribute more than 192,000 food baskets weighing more than 20,000 tons to needy and affected families in 15 Yemeni governorates.

KSrelief team inspects a project for supporting students, orphans and needy people in Albania

A team from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has inspected a project to support students, orphans and needy people in the Islamic Sheikhdom Schools in Albania.
The team was briefed on the progress of the project aiming to support 154 children in the cities of Tirana and Elbasan by providing tuition fees and educational supplies for them.
During the visit, the team met with a number of project beneficiaries.
The visit aims at studying the impact of the support, the future needs of the beneficiaries, and ways to develop the project in cooperation with the Albanian Islamic sheikhdom.

KSrelief distributes 70 tons of food aid to drought-affected people in Somalia

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Thursday distributed 70 tons of food aid to the displaced and drought-affected people in Daynili district of Banadir region in the Somali capital Mogadishu, benefiting 6,000 people.
This aid comes within the second phase of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s urgent intervention to contribute to covering the humanitarian needs for people affected by drought in Somalia to support food and nutrition programs for children and to provide water and shelter for the displaced, as well as life-saving emergency programs.

Saudi Arabia Provides USD One Million to UNAOC

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided today USD one million to the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) for supporting its work plan, activities and programs.
The Kingdom’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Wasel, handed over the financial support to High UN High-Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Miguel Angel Moratinos at the UNAOC headquarters.
Ambassador Al-Wasel affirmed the Kingdom’s appreciation for the important role played by the UNAOC and its efforts in disseminating a culture of peace and tolerance and strengthening the role of multiple diplomacy, at a time when the world has an urgent need to establish the values of coexistence, build bridges of communication and spread peace.
For his part, the High UN High-Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations hailed the great role played by the Kingdom in laying the foundations for peace and the values of coexistence and the rejection of hatred and violence, especially in light of the comprehensive renaissance as well as great social and cultural transformations the Kingdom is witnessing, commending the Kingdom’s central role in promoting the values of peace and tolerance and respecting all religions and cultures.

Education Minister Takes Part in “Solutions Day” at Transforming Education Summit in New York

Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, participated yesterday, Saturday, in the opening session of the Solutions Day, announcing the launch of its activities and sessions within the work of the “Transforming Education” summit held in New York City, United States. This coincides with the September 13-27 convening of the seventy-seventh session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The ministerial sessions held at the summit provide a forum for global partners to mobilize support for launching or expanding initiatives related to the summit’s themes. A set of initiatives that seek to obtain international partnerships and alliances were presented to contribute to transforming education with the participation and coordination of Member States and international organizations.
The sessions featured a review of initiatives to transform education across five themes, including providing inclusive, equitable, safe and healthy schools, supporting learning and life skills, work and sustainable development, teachers, and teaching profession, as well as digital learning and transformation, and education funding.
Education ministers who participated in the ” Transforming Education Summit” discussed recovering from educational loss caused by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and getting back on track to achieve the 2030 Agenda’s sustainable development goals and education-related objectives.
The Transforming Education Summit is being held from 16 to 19 September. The activities of the first day will take place on September 16, under the title: ” Mobilization Day,” as well as the meetings of official delegations during the second day, on September 17, under the title “Solutions Day,” in addition to the meeting of world education leaders on the 19th under the title: “Leaders Day.”
