Gui’an, Guiyang has become an important high-speed rail hub in China

GUIYANG, China, Sept. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/ —  In September 2022, the Guiyang-Nanning high-speed railway, which is scheduled to be completed and open to traffic by 2023, made significant progress and the preliminary track-laying work of all road sections were basically completed.

The Guiyang-Nanning high-speed railway is an important part of the main channel of China’s “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed railway from Baotou city (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region) to Haikou City (Hainan Province), with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After the whole line is completed and opened to traffic, it will connect with Shanghai-Kunming, Chengdu-Guiyang high-speed railways, and become a convenient and fast main passenger transport channel from Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou and even Northwest China to Nanning, Beibu Gulf, western Guangdong and Hainan, according to the Publicity Department of the CPC Guiyang Municipal Committee.

Since 2012, Guizhou has put traffic first. 1,609 kilometers of high-speed railways had been completed in Guizhou province by the end of 2021. Gui’an to Guangzhou, Changsha, Kunming, Chongqing, Chengdu and other cities have achieved direct high-speed rail connectivity, basically realizing high-speed rail connectivity with surrounding provincial capitals. Guizhou has gradually formed a railway transportation network with Gui’an as the center.

The geographical location advantage of an important land transportation hub in southwest Guizhou has been increasingly prominent, Gui’an has become an important high-speed railway hub in China.

The Ministry of Defense discusses with an American team to develop the skills of the Iraqi army

Baghdad The Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense received the American security cooperation team in Iraq.

A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated that: “During the meeting, joint cooperation between the two sides was discussed in the field of courses and training and the importance of developing the skills of Iraqi army officers through the establishment of various development courses for all types, inside and outside Iraq, which will be reflected positively on the military institution and develop its work for the better.” / End

Iraq and the UAE discuss cooperation in the legal and judicial fields

Baghdad Iraq’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Muzaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri, met today, Tuesday, the UAE Federal Attorney General, Counselor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, at the headquarters of the Federal Public Prosecution in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they discussed means of cooperation in judicial and legal issues, including topics related to the memorandum of understanding regarding the transfer of those sentenced to freedom-depriving penalties between Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, achieving mutual interests and strengthening the bonds of joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries./End

SAIP Celebrates Graduates of Training of Trainers Program

Riyadh, September 20, 2022, SPA — The IP Academy of SAIP held a graduation ceremony for the Training of Trainers Program in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization.

IP Academy stated that this program is the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prepare trainers specialized in intellectual property in cooperation between SAIP and WIPO.

The candidates of the program received a certificate of accreditation of a specialized trainer in intellectual property from the WIPO and SAIP and will perform a number of tasks during and after the completion of the program such as the establishment, updating and review of training programs in intellectual property and their contents, materials and bibliography as well as preparation and provision of specialized training activities and related materials.

The program lasted for two years, during which the trainees received intensive lectures on IP methodology and teaching methods, as well as lectures on a number of specialized tracks in IP and various training courses. The candidates of the program varied among faculty members at a number of universities in the Kingdom as well as employees in the private and public sectors and specialists in intellectual property in law firms specializing in intellectual property.

It is worth mentioning that the program is the result of the memorandum of cooperation signed on October 2, 2019 to establish a training center specialized in intellectual property in the Kingdom.

SPA Launches Scientific Portal in Partnership with KAUST

Riyadh, September 20, 2022, SPA — The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) today launched its scientific portal (https://science.spa.gov.sa), which is specialized in publishing scientific research, studies and news, as part of its contributions to highlighting the scientific movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

SPA has allocated this scientific portal, the first of its kind at the national level, as part of its influential media role at the local and international levels, at a time it is heading towards matching its outcomes with the developments being witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various political, economic, cultural, social and sport fields, and to expand the content of its news messages according to a development strategy that relies on listing some vital specializations as part of its coverage scope, including the scientific field that is shared with several academic institutions and specialized centers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the aim of shedding light on existing efforts and outcomes of the scientific research that forms a main element in the Saudi Vision 2030 in a bid to realize a cognitive economy.

SPA President Fahd bin Hassan Al Aqran stressed that launching an independent portal for the scientific aspect is part of endeavors to keep pace with the movement that is witnessed by research centers and specialized universities in this field in a bid by SPA to open a media window on scientific research field and offer them with a media style that enriches the audience’s knowledge in various fields and specialized sciences.

Al Aqran said that this portal aims to diversify the interests and specializations of SPA to include specialized scientific and research aspects, especially with the expansion of programs and roles of academic and research institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and matching them with the development situation and future plans, noting that SPA has attracted several specialists in scientific publications and seeks partnerships with local and international institutions to publish these research papers on a wider scope that reflects the Saudi scientific movement and development.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is considered the first scientific partner with SPA scientific portal that will provide an area to publish research and studies of KAUST to highlight its scientific and cognitive role, in addition to its entrepreneurship in research efforts in the energy, water, food and environment fields, and its contributions to the circular economy, environment (coral reefs), and artificial intelligence, in addition to its permanent endeavors towards innovation, research and development.

Speaker of Shura Council Receives Member of the State Council of Oman

Muscat, Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh received here today member of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman, the former Secretary General of the Omani Shura Council Sheikh Ali bin Nasser Al-Mahrooqi.
