KSrelief’s Supervisor General, GAVI CEO Discuss Issues Related to Humanitarian and Relief Affairs

Berlin, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah today in Berlin met with Vaccine Alliance (GAVI) CEO Dr. Seth Berkley.

Discussions during the meeting went over issues related to humanitarian and relief affairs, ways to address the spread of epidemics and viruses, and coordination between the two sides to provide the necessary vaccines.

Dr. Al Rabeeah briefed Dr. Seth Berkley on the health efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to combat the spread of epidemics and chronic diseases in countries in need.

For his part, Dr. Seth Berkley expressed his thanks to Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for supporting the efforts of GAVI in addressing various epidemics around the world, especially the Coronavirus pandemic.

Shura Council Holds 6th Ordinary Session

Riyadh, Presided over by its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Shura Council held today its 6th ordinary session.

During the meeting, the Shura Council discussed a number of reports presented by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee; the Energy and Industry Committee; the Financial and Economic Committee; and the Transport, Communications and Information Technology Committee.

The Shura Council approved a draft cooperation agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Djibouti in the field of maritime transport, signed in Riyadh on 22/06/2022.

It also discussed a number of issues on its agenda.

Bahrain participates in international anti-terror conference in Tajikistan

Dushanbe, The delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain, headed by the Chief of the Strategic Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Nancy Abdullah Jamal, participated in the high-level international conference on “International and Regional Border Security and Management Cooperation to Counter Terrorism and Prevent the Movement of Terrorists”.

The two-day conference was co-organized by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the European Union (EU), with the support of the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Addressing the conference, Ambassador Nancy Jamal affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to combating terrorism and the various threats posed by terrorist organisations and their illegal and cross-border activities, stressing the Kingdom’s position towards combating terrorism, which is a priority to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

She also highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts in this field, noting its membership in local, regional and international border security systems and its active participation in a number of relevant groups and alliances, explaining that the ability to protect the country’s borders is a true testament to the strength of law enforcement in the Kingdom and its well-established legal infrastructure.

The OIC General Secretariat expresses its solidarity with Cameroon following the floods in the north of the country

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expresses its solidarity with the Republic of Cameroon following the occurrence of floods in the North of the country which caused several victims.

The General Secretariat commends the emergency measures taken by the Cameroonian Authorities in order to assist the victims and limit the damage of these floods.

The OIC calls upon its financial institutions, Member States and international partners to support Cameroon’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of the victims of this disaster and to rebuild the destroyed areas and houses.

The OIC will remain mobilized alongside Cameroon and will do its utmost to contribute to the relief of the flood victims.
