Two suspects arrested for drug dealing and drug use in Wasit

Wasit police detachments arrested two suspects for drug dealing and abuse in two separate operations, the first carried out by the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department in the city of Kut and the other in the checkpoint of Al-Laj, north of Wasit.

A source in Wasit Police told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the first suspect was seized with a bag containing 19 grams of narcotics, and the other had a bag containing crystal narcotics

Five people were killed and injured in a quarrel north of Babylon

A person was killed and four others were injured in a quarrel that turned into the use of sharp machines in Alexandria district, north of Hilla, this Friday evening.

A source in the Babylon police said, “A quarrel broke out among relatives for unknown reasons, killing one person and wounding four others.

He added that the wounded were taken to Alexandria Hospital for treatment, and that an investigation was opened into the accident.

The Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the Ministry of Interior said: “The Ministry of Health submitted a proposal to examine all state employees to ensure their safety from drug use, and our directorate approved it, provided that it is included as a legal text within the Anti-Drug Law No. 50.”/

Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that one person was killed and 64 were injured in the earthquake that hit the city of Izmir, western Turkey, on Friday morning.
