KFCRIS Organizes Symposium on Saudi-Bosnian Relations

Riyadh, King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS), in cooperation with Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will organize tomorrow at King Faisal Foundation a symposium entitled “Saudi-Bosnian Relations: a Historical View and Reflections for the Future”, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Saudi-Bosnian relations.

The symposium will be inaugurated by Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the KFCRIS, in the presence of Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Muhamed Jusic.

It will review the history of the relationship and its future prospects. The symposium will be accompanied by an exhibition containing a number of photographs documenting the depth of the relationship between the two countries.

Customs President receives Saudi Tabadul delegation

Manama, Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa held a meeting with Saudi Company for Exchanging Digital Information (Tabadul) Chief Executive Officer Majid bin Faleh Al Otaibi and the accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed a proposal plan to set up a link between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia for the smooth flow of trucks through the King Fahd Causeway.

Based on the proposal plan, a number of decisions have been taken to fast-track the implement the multi-phased scheme between both countries.

The step is part of the Customs Affairs’ plan to support trade activities and facilitate the movement of goods through Bahrain’s martime, sea and air border exits.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister inaugurates Exhibition World Bahrain

Manama, On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today inaugurated Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), located in Sakhir.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of competitiveness as a fundamental element of the Kingdom’s economy, which has bolstered investments, promoted economic progress, and created quality opportunities for citizens.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted that tourism remains a leading economic sector, adding that the sector’s growth has been a key driver of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty the King.

His Royal Highness extended his congratulations to His Majesty the King on the launch of the new state-of-the-art convention centre, noting that this achievement is a culmination of steps taken by the Kingdom’s forefather, HH the late Amir Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the efforts of the late premier HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister paid tribute to Team Bahrain’s efforts and determination to achieve the Kingdom’s wide-ranging economic goals that aim to further current and future development endeavors.

His Royal Highness indicated that the launch of the EWB is a further milestone in the Kingdom’s economic development, emphasising its role in advancing economic competitiveness and positioning the Kingdom as a major global destination for regional and global conventions.

A presentation was then given in which HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad was briefed on the EWB halls and amenities, as well as the innovative and world-class services it will provide to users, event organisers and visitors.

For her part, the Minister of Tourism, HE Fatima bint Jaffer Al Sairafi, extended her gratitude for His Royal Highness’s ongoing support to the Kingdom’s tourism sector, highlighting the Kingdom’s longstanding history in being a destination linking the east and west for trade, which has furthered its position as a global tourist destination.

HE Al Sairafi noted that the inauguration of the EWB reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to expanding cross-sector development in line with Bahrain’s sustainable development goals.

The EWB is the newest convention and exhibition centre in the region, and the largest in the Kingdom of Bahrain. With ten halls, multiple exits and entrances, storage facilities, and wide-ranging services, the centre’s strong capacity will enable it to host a number of events and exhibitions simultaneously, making it an attractive location for local, regional and international exhibitions.

The EWB’s conference centre features a main hall that can accommodate approximately four thousand people, and can be divided into three separate halls equipped with the latest technical services to host international conferences and events. It also consists of a number of other halls for medium and small-scale conferences and meetings.

A number of senior officials also attended the inauguration.

HM the King thanked by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister

Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of thanks from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, marking the formation of the Cabinet.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed deepest thanks and gratitude to HM the King for entrusting him to continue serving the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.

In the cable, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister pledged to continue dedicated and spirited work to concretise royal visions and achieve development goals.

He expressed unwavering commitment to continue working with utmost dedication, under the wise leadership of HM the King to achieve Bahrain’s development and progress, in accordance with the National Action Charter and the Constitution, which inspired the 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister announced a new phase in national work, pledging to pursue efforts to implement plans, programs and strategies along with all Team Bahrain members to build the nation together and serve citizens, being a top priority, for a better present and shining future for the Kingdom.

Iran: Any aggression on Syria is “condemnable” , flagrant violation of its sovereignty and international laws

Tehran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani affirmed that launching any aggression against Syria , or violating its sovereignty and territorial integrity is a flagrant breaches of international laws, and it is condemnable.

” The silence of international forums and the UN Security Council, along with the failure to show decisive and deterrent reactions are reasons for this continuous aggression on Syrian territory”, Kanani said Monday in a press conference answering a question raised about Israel’s repeated aggressions against Syria, calling on international organizations, the UN and the Security Council to show a serious reaction towards such acts of hostile.

Kanani added that the Syrian people have been the victim of the Zionist aggressions for years “and in this regard we support any action by the Syrian government to defend itself and ensure the security of its people”.

Qatari Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Recalls with Gratitude Saudi Arabia’s Support for Qatar’s Bid to Host the World Cup 2022

Riyadh, Qatari Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Bandar bin Mohamed Al-Atiyah recalled with gratitude Saudi Arabia’s support for Qatar’s bid to host the world cup, describing his country’s hosting of the World Cup 2022 as part of a series of Qatari previous successes, citing the Arab Soccer Championship 2021, and Locil Super Cup between Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia and Al-Zamalik of Egypt.

In an interview with the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Atiyah lauded the facilitations provided by the leadership and government of the Kingdom for some 250000 fans expected to cross the border from Saudi Arabia to attend the event, a source of happiness for the Qataris, he said.

He welcomed the partricipation of the Saudi soccer team in the world cup for the sixth time, wishing them every success and the Saudi players, football officials, media representatives and Saudi fans a good stay in their second country: Qatar.

He paid tribute to the participation of Saudi pioneers to help in the administration of the gatherings.

Saudi Deputy Minister of Transport Meets with his Egyptian Counterpart

Alexandria, Egypt, Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistic Services of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Rumaih bin Mohamed Al-Rumaih met here today with the Minister of Transport of Egypt Gen. Kamil Alwazir on the eve of Arab Transport Ministers meeting scheduled for this resort city of Alexandria tomorrow.

During the meeting, ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport and logistic services were discussed.

Al-Rumaih also attended the celebration party of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
