Al-Hakim calls for the continuation of the regional dialogue to reach the stage of stability and peoples’ enjoyment of their goods

Baghdad, The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, called for perpetuating the regional dialogue in order to reach the stage of stability and peoples’ enjoyment of its goods.

During his meeting with the CEO of the European Institute for Peace, Michael Keating, he stressed the region’s need for frank and in-depth dialogue to reach understandings conducive to its stability and the enjoyment of its peoples’ bounties, reiterating his call to perpetuate the dialogue sessions to reach the desired goal.

He explained the importance of Iraq in the balance and stability of the region, stressing the value of Iraqi social diversity and the possibility of investing this advantage in building bridges with the peoples of the region.

Al-Hakim referred to the Iraqi initiatives for regional and international dialogue, indicating that it was an early reading of the region’s conditions, calling for action in a team spirit to achieve the desired goal.

Baghdad, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, confirmed that the security and political situation witnessed great stability, despite the challenges facing the region.

A statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the minister met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilya Darkiashvili, on the sidelines of the annual Davos Conference, and during the meeting they discussed the overall relations between the two countries and ways to develop and enhance them.

The Georgian Foreign Minister invited Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to visit Georgia, which will reflect on the strengthening of bilateral and economic relations between the two friendly countries.

Baghdad, The economist, Nabil Al-Marsoumi, confirmed that reducing the price of the dollar is outside the ability of the government and the central bank of Iraq.

He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The rise in the exchange rate of the dollar has become beyond the ability of the Central Bank and the government.”

He added, “Parliament’s request to host the bank’s governor or to interrogate the finance minister is nothing but a media show, because what is happening is beyond the will of all of them.”

He explained: “The matter has a clear political aspect, and the political solution is in the hands of the Americans, because they dominate the reserves of the Central Bank and control financial transfers, and they prevent the movement of dollars from going to countries hostile to them.”

He pointed out: “The rise will continue for several months, and Iraqi banks are unable, in the short and medium term, to develop in order to deal with the requirements of the US Federal Reserve. The issue should be resolved politically before the rise worsens, affecting the poor and those with fixed income.”

A presidential statement said: “The President of the Republic received, today, Wednesday, at his residence in Davos, the CEO of the Qatar Financial Center, Youssef Mohamed Al-Jaida.”

The President of the Republic affirmed the government’s seriousness in implementing its ministerial program, advancing the development wheel, starting the implementation of important strategic projects, and completing the large Al-Faw port project, which includes many facilities such as highways, railways, and other facilities.

The President of the Republic, according to the statement, touched on clarifying Iraq’s future plans to improve the reality of agriculture and address water scarcity, noting: “All governorates seek to improve their reality,” pointing out: “Iraq has taken many measures to facilitate the movement of money through a number of government decisions that allow the investment of foreign capital in Iraq.

The President praised the State of Qatar’s organization of the World Cup recently, which gave a good impression to all countries of the world, and this is a great and real achievement for the Qatari brothers, and the same applies to Iraq and its success in organizing the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra.

The delegation conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Qatar and his wishes for stability and security for the Iraqi people, while the President of the Republic entrusted the delegation with his greetings to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the brothers in Qatar.

According to the statement, the CEO of the Qatar Financial Center submitted to the President of the Republic a proposal regarding the establishment of an Iraqi-Qatari business council with the participation of the private and government sectors, and the President of the Republic affirmed his support for this proposal, pointing to the need for communication between the two parties and studying proposals and ideas from all aspects.

An officer and a security element were killed east of Kirkuk

Kirkuk, A security source announced the martyrdom of an officer and a security member of the Kirkuk police.

He said that unidentified gunmen attacked, after midnight, an emergency police patrol belonging to the third regiment during the inspection of points on the Hawally road leading to Sulaymaniyah, which led to the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Nawzad Hassan and Commissioner Muhammad Pasha.

It is noteworthy that the area east of Kirkuk is active from time to time in fuel smuggling and drug activity.

Intelligence Agency: The arrest of five dangerous terrorists in Babylon

Baghdad, The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced the arrest of five dangerous terrorists in Babylon, one of whom was responsible for the attack on a police patrol, the martyrdom of an affiliate, and the wounding of others.

A statement by the Security Media Cell stated: According to accurate intelligence information, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior managed, with separate preemptive operations, which resulted in the arrest of five terrorists in separate areas of Babylon Governorate, who are wanted according to the provisions of Article (4 / terrorism) for their affiliation with ISIS terrorist gangs, and who admitted through preliminary investigations that they belong to those criminal gangs.

The statement indicated that one of the terrorists, known as (Abu Karrar), confessed to participating in several terrorist operations, including the attack with an explosive device on a patrol of Al-Tahrir Police Station, north of Babylon, and the attack resulted in the injury of a number of members and the death of one of them.

The Popular Mobilization arrests a drug-trafficking gang in Karbala

Baghdad, A force from the 13th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in cooperation with the intelligence and information assistants of the Popular Mobilization Authority, arrested today, Wednesday, a drug-trafficking gang traveling between the governorates of Karbala and Najaf.

The Commander of the 13th Brigade of the Mobilization Forces, Qassem Musleh, told the Popular Mobilization website, “After receiving intelligence information and with high coordination between our brigade and the intelligence in the Mobilization Authority, the forces were able to arrest three suspects in their possession narcotics after setting up an elaborate ambush that lasted for several hours and monitoring from Karbala to Najaf and then from Najaf to Karbala after bringing narcotic pills from their financiers.

Musleh added that the arrest process was flagrante delicto and came according to an official judicial note.
