TEMECULA, Calif., Jan. 30, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (“Group”), a part of the Nikkiso Co., Ltd (Japan) group of companies, is proud to announce yet another expansion of their manufacturing and service capabilities for the Middle East and Northern Africa markets. With this expansion, they will be providing pump and turboexpander aftermarket repairs of their full line, including J.C. Carter pumps. Their new state-of-the-art service center will allow repairs to be made locally rather than the need to ship elsewhere.

The new facility, based in the Sharjah Free Zone, was established to provide expanded support for the Middle East and Northern Africa markets. They have added field service support, and shop technicians specifically trained to support Marine, J.C. Carter, Nikkiso Cryogenic Pumps (ACD and Nikkiso Cryo) and Turboexpanders. In addition to in-shop and on-site repairs, they will provide aftermarket service.

“With this facility, we will be able to respond more quickly to our customer’s needs, providing individual support and solutions expansion. Putin discusses by phone with Bin Salman the stability of oil prices

Baghdad Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, today, Monday, cooperation within the framework of the OPEC + group, to maintain the stability of oil prices.

Ministers from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies led by Russia, in what is known as OPEC +, are scheduled to hold an online meeting on Wednesday.

Two delegates in OPEC + told Reuters today, Monday, that the group’s joint ministerial monitoring committee is likely to recommend maintaining the current oil production policy.

Russian oil production seemed to be steadfast so far in the face of the imposed Western sanctions, after Moscow sent its forces to Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and Western countries imposed a ceiling on its prices in December.

Central Bank: Acceptance of Iraq’s candidacy in the Egmont Group for Financial Intelligence Units

Baghdad The Central Bank announced, on Tuesday, the acceptance of Iraq’s nomination to the Egmont Group for Financial Intelligence Units, which includes 167 countries.

The Bank stated in a statement, “The efforts made by Iraq, represented by the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Office in the Central Bank of Iraq, culminated in obtaining approval of the office’s nomination to join the Egmont membership of the financial investigation units after the approval of the heads of the financial investigation units during the group meetings to be held during next July.

He added, “The report of the field visit to the Republic of Iraq that was carried out by representatives of the sponsoring countries was discussed during the meeting of the Working Group on Membership, Support and Commitment MSCWG held in Senegal on 1/31/2023, and the group concluded after presenting the report by the representatives of the sponsoring countries to nominate the office for membership.” The Egmont Group with full membership during the July 2023 meetings.

He pointed out, “The support provided by the group includes expanding and organizing international cooperation in the exchange of financial intelligence information, increasing the effectiveness of financial information units by providing training and exchanging employees to improve the expertise and capabilities of employees, and enhancing secure communication among units through the application of technology via the network ” Egmont Safe”.

Manama: National Archives Centre Chairman Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi today received researchers Bashar Al Hadi and Rashid Al Jasim.

Al-Sudani: Iraq does not need foreign combat forces

Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani affirmed that Iraq does not need foreign combat forces.

He said in a televised interview: “Iraq is in talks with the International Coalition to announce the form of the relationship with it, in terms of training, advice and intelligence.”

He added, “We started our foreign visits according to the principle of productive relations,” indicating: “An official delegation from Germany will visit Iraq within a month to attend the signing ceremony of important energy projects.”

Prime Minister: The gas investment file is one of my priorities

Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani affirmed: “Investing in gas will provide job opportunities and financial returns.”

Al-Sudani said in a televised interview: “10 trillion dinars have been allocated in the budget to import gas, and its investment file is one of my priorities.”

Al-Sudani continued: “A large number of French companies have investment projects in Iraq,” noting: “The suspended train will be included in the budget.”

He continued: “The port of Al-Faw will witness accelerated implementation rates during the current year,” noting: “The consulting company has drawn the path of the railway link for the port of Al-Faw.”

Third Arab-Asian Dialogue on Intellectual Property Begins

Cairo, The third Arab-Asian Dialogue on Intellectual Property (IP) began today at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo between Japan and a number of Arab countries.

The dialogue was organized by the Arab League’s Intellectual Property and Competitiveness Department in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Japan Patent Office.

The Kingdom’s delegation to the discussions comprised the Executive Director of patents at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) Mizael Alharbi, the Head of SAIP’s International Partnership Department Turki Al-Faqih, and Head of Environmental Creativity System Team at the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority Ahmad Al-Numani.

The third Arab-Asian Dialogue will be discussing the latest developments with regard to IP in the digital age, artificial intelligence (AI), and the management of IP offices and the growing challenges they face, as well as possible areas of cooperation to establish effective IP systems using modern technologies.
