Manama: National Archives Centre Chairman Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi today received researchers Bashar Al Hadi and Rashid Al Jasim.

They presented to Dr. Al Nuaimi a copy of their book “Bahrain Noukhadas” in which they cite the names of divers, featuring photos and documents.

Dr. Al Nuaimi praised the researchers’ efforts in compiling their valuable book which aims to conserve an aspect of Bahraini heritage.

Manama: Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani today met Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer of MOL Hungarian Oil Gas Plc. Company Zsolt Hernád, on the sidelines of his visit to Budapest.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of economic and trade relations and ways of boosting joint cooperation in the oil and gas fields. They also discussed current oil supplies in the world.

Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani affirmed that Iraq does not need foreign combat forces.

He said in a televised interview: “Iraq is in talks with the International Coalition to announce the form of the relationship with it, in terms of training, advice and intelligence.”

He added, “We started our foreign visits according to the principle of productive relations,” indicating: “An official delegation from Germany will visit Iraq within a month to attend the signing ceremony of important energy projects.”

Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani affirmed: “Investing in gas will provide job opportunities and financial returns.”

Al-Sudani said in a televised interview: “10 trillion dinars have been allocated in the budget to import gas, and its investment file is one of my priorities.”

Al-Sudani continued: “A large number of French companies have investment projects in Iraq,” noting: “The suspended train will be included in the budget.”

He continued: “The port of Al-Faw will witness accelerated implementation rates during the current year,” noting: “The consulting company has drawn the path of the railway link for the port of Al-Faw.”

Baghdad The Parliamentary Finance Committee held a joint meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank, Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, today, Tuesday, to discuss the issue of the fluctuation of the high exchange rates of the dinar against the dollar and the possibility of controlling it to preserve the market, and the procedures and steps of the Central Bank to address that.

Baghdad The US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, affirmed that Iraqis deserve a diversified, modern economy and well-paid jobs.

“Iraqis deserve a diversified, modern economy and well-paid jobs,” Ambassador Alina Romanowski wrote on her Twitter page.

“To achieve this, it is necessary to build a world-class electricity system,” she added.

She stressed: “The United States is ready to work with the Iraqi Minister of Electricity Ziyad Ali Fadel and the Iraqi government to carry out this important endeavor.”

Cairo, The third Arab-Asian Dialogue on Intellectual Property (IP) began today at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo between Japan and a number of Arab countries.

The dialogue was organized by the Arab League’s Intellectual Property and Competitiveness Department in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Japan Patent Office.

The Kingdom’s delegation to the discussions comprised the Executive Director of patents at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) Mizael Alharbi, the Head of SAIP’s International Partnership Department Turki Al-Faqih, and Head of Environmental Creativity System Team at the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority Ahmad Al-Numani.

The third Arab-Asian Dialogue will be discussing the latest developments with regard to IP in the digital age, artificial intelligence (AI), and the management of IP offices and the growing challenges they face, as well as possible areas of cooperation to establish effective IP systems using modern technologies.

Jeddah– Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha has received here Venezuela’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, David Velasquez Caraballo.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance bilateral relations between the OIC and Venezuela.
