Turkish Ambassador: Thank you Bahrain, Türkiye will never forget your solidarity

Manama, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Bahrain Esin Çakil has expressed her deep thanks and profound gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the people of Bahrain for their support and solidarity with Türkiye in dealing with the aftermath of the earthquake.

“On behalf of the Republic of Türkiye, I wholeheartedly thank Bahrain’s leadership and people. Türkiye will never forget this solidarity,” Ambassador Çakil told Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

“In the aftermath of the earthquake that hit Türkiye on February 6, the immediate response of Bahrain was a clear demonstration of the strong friendship between Türkiye and Bahrain,” she said.

The ambassador commended the directives given by HM King Hamad and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as Bahrain’s humanitarian approach that won the hearts and minds of the Turkish nation.

“I would like to express our gratitude to the Royal Guard Commander Major General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa who leads the search and rescue operation Sawaed Al-Gaith,” she said.

“Under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, a 35-personnel search and rescue team from Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) was sent to Hatay,” she said.

Ambassador Çakil paid tribute to the heroes of the BDF for saving a life under the rubble 176 hours after the earthquake.

She also praised the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) that coordinated Bahrain’s first humanitarian aid to Türkiye.

“We applaud the endeavors of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation for giving all the support to the embassy for the cooperation on delivering the urgent assistance in the earthquake zones,” the ambassador said.

More than $ 3.7 million were raised during “The Day of Solidarity” telethon that ran three hours on Bahrain Television on Friday evening.

Bahrain TV organized the event in cooperation with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) under a national campaign to support the earthquake quake victims.

Information Minister praises Day of Solidarity success

Manama, Information Minister Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Alnoaimi hailed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives in support of the Arab Republic of Syria and the Republic of Turkiye which were struck by a devastating earthquake.

He praised HM the King’s humanitarian support to needy and disaster-hit people in other countries, hailing the follow-up of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Alnoaimi also commended the dedicated efforts led by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to implement HM the King’s directives through the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).

He made the comments as he visited RHF’s team during the “Solidarity Day” campaign, which was organized by the Ministry of Information in cooperation with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation to support the victims of the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.

During the visit, he was was briefed on the progress of the campaign, praising the success of the drive in supporting and responding to the call of humanitarian duty to support the earthquake victims.

The minister also the dedicated efforts led by RHF Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyed to promote charity and humanitarian work in the Kingdom of Bahrain and deliver relief aid to need and disaster-hit people worldwide.

He also praised the BDF Royal Guards search and rescue task force which conducted the Arms of Relief Operation in the Republic of Turkiye to extend a helping hand to people affected by the devastating earthquake.

Dr. Al Sayyed also lauded the Information Minister’s efforts and the cooperation of the Ministry of Information with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.

Jordan Charity Organization sends seven trucks carrying relief items to quake-affected people in Syria

Amman, SANA- Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization has sent sevem trucks loaded with relief aid to the quake- affected people in Syria.

The Secretary-General of the Charity Organization organization , Hussein al-Shibli said that the organization met the needs through fundraising campaigns, including tents, generators, children and elderly supplies, parcels, foodstuffs, hand lamps, clothes, winter shoes, medical supplies, and rubble removal equipment. In addition to cash donations through the bank account of the afflicted from Syria in a number of Jordanian banks.

GHANIAN FOOTBALLER ATSU’S BODY FOUND UNDER RUBBLE: AGENT

“Atsu’s lifeless body was found under the rubble,” Murat Uzunmehmet told reporters in Hatay, where the athlete’s body was found.

“Currently, more items are still being taken out. His phone was also found.”

The 31-year-old player’s Ghanaian agent also confirmed the news on social media.

“I ask that whilst we make the necessary arrangements, that everyone would please respect the privacy of the family during this very difficult time,” Nana Sechere posted.
