The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine announces the killing of 5 of its members in an Israeli raid in the Lebanese Bekaa region

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine announced that 5 of its members were killed in an Israeli bombing that targeted a site for it in the Lebanese Bekaa region, while Israel denied carrying out any raid.

The Popular Front said that 5 of its members were killed and 10 others were wounded in an Israeli bombardment that targeted a site of the Front’s military command in the Bekaa region in Lebanon at dawn, noting that “this crime is not isolated from the recent accelerating events on the Lebanese and Syrian fronts, and within the framework of the continuous Zionist threats targeting the forces of Resistance inside and outside Palestine.

It pointed out that “the occupation seeks, by committing this crime, to send a set of messages to the resistance, under the illusion that it can deter the growing resistance, which will respond to this crime without being intimidated by the Zionist threats.”

The raid took place at dawn and targeted a military center in the Qusaya area at the Lebanese-Syrian border, east of the Lebanese Bekaa Valley.

The raid caused damage to vehicles belonging to the Front at the entrance to one of the tunnels of the targeted site, and caused material losses that were not specified by the Popular Front.

The Israeli Army Radio reported that “Israel denies any connection to the raid on the Syrian-Lebanese border.”
