Al-Kut, A fire engulfed a house in Al-Zahraa area, in the middle of Al-Hay district, south of Wasit, and the civil defense detachments were able to put out the flames.
The Director of Civil Defense in Wasit, Brigadier General Samir Razzaq, told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the fire was controlled and prevented from spreading to neighboring houses without causing any casualties, adding that the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit.
