Baghdad, The Emirati Company “Dana Gas” confirmed, today, Monday, that it is continuing the production process in the Khormur gas field in the Kurdistan region normally, after the detonation of a controlled explosive device.
The company said in a statement through the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, “The company continues production normally, without interruption, in the Khormur in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate in the Kurdistan region, after detonating an explosive device on the morning of Friday, December 13.”
It added, “The explosion did not lead to any injuries or damage, and it is coordinating directly with the Kurdistan Regional Government,” noting that “the regional government has taken all necessary measures to enhance security measures in the region.”
It is mentioned that an explosion, the nature of which was not known at the time, occurred in the Khormur gas field in Sulaymaniyah last Friday.
