Al-Hakim stresses the importance of maintaining relations between the Iraqi and Afghan peoples

Baghdad The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, called for the support and protection of the Afghan people.

The media office of the head of the Alliance stated in a statement: “During his meeting with the delegation of the Council of Scholars of the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Afghanistan, al-Hakim called for the protection of the followers of Ahl al-Bayt after the political changes that Afghanistan experienced recently.”

Al-Hakim stressed, “the importance of maintaining relations between the Iraqi and Afghan peoples,” expressing his “regret for the human and social reality experienced by the Afghan people during the past decades,” noting “the importance of peaceful coexistence, protecting the components, and giving them sufficient space to express their beliefs and adhere to their identity.”

During the meeting, the head of the National State Forces Alliance renewed his vision of the danger of terrorism, stressing that experience has shown that the terrorist threat will not remain confined to a specific geography, and will soon turn into a threat that destabilizes the security of the countries of the region and the world, stressing the cultural and intellectual care of the followers of Ahl al-Bayt, and the need for joint cooperation between the Council of Scholars and the rest of the religious institutions in the region and the world.
