Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani affirmed his request to the Central Bank to take quick steps to compensate for the dollar shortage in the markets.
Al-Sudani said in a press conference: “The Central Bank has started operating the electronic platform for the provisions and regulation of the currency sale and purchase window, adding that transfers to fake companies have been rejected and there are exaggerated prices in the currency sale window.”
He explained that the price inflation operations in the currency sale window aim to remove the dollar from the country, stressing that the government was and is still monitoring the central bank’s policy to ensure the stability of the market.
