Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired, Sunday evening, a meeting devoted to following up the outcomes of the (Development Road) conference, which was hosted by the capital, Baghdad, yesterday.
Al-Sudani reaffirmed that this project will achieve a qualitative leap in the economic fields of Iraq and the countries of the region, and the government’s seriousness in implementing this large project with its dimensions and ambitions.
Al-Sudani directed the Ministries and Agencies concerned to provide all the ingredients for success for the development road project, stressing that it will achieve an important leap in the level of localization of industries, through the establishment of the industrial city, which will be one of the pillars of the project.
He pointed out the importance of guaranteeing the rights of the Iraqi state in all aspects of the project and its side and attached projects, indicating that it is the first time that Iraq has adopted a development project of this size, within the framework of the direct interest of the Iraqi people, as well as the interests of brotherly and friendly peoples in the neighborhood and the region.
