Al-Sudani stresses to Aboul Gheit the importance of activating work mechanisms and inter-economic integration within the joint development programs of the Arab countries

Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani met today, Thursday, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on the sidelines of his participation in the Arab-Chinese summit, which is being held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

During the meeting, he indicated, according to a statement by his office, the importance of activating work mechanisms and inter-economic integration within the joint development programs of the Arab countries, and for the Arab League to play its pivotal role in enhancing cooperation opportunities among the Arab countries.

For his part, Aboul Gheit stressed the importance of supporting Iraq in peace and calm efforts in the region, and his keenness to build constructive relations and sustainable partnerships with his Arab surroundings.
