American John Catlin Crowned Champion of Saudi Open Golf Tournament 2024


Riyadh: American golfer John Catlin emerged victorious in the Saudi Open Golf Tournament 2024, presented by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), which concluded today at Riyadh Golf Club.

Catlin demonstrated exceptional skill and resilience over four days of competition, navigating challenges to deliver a stellar performance. He finished with a remarkable seven shots under par, totaling 24 under par overall, securing his position as the new champion of the tournament. The first prize amounted to $180,000, contributing to a total prize pool of 1 million dollars.

In the final stages of the competition, fierce competition among players vied for top positions. However, Catlin maintained his lead consistently, securing victory early on without fretting over the outcomes of remaining matches. This win marked his sixth title in the Asian Tour and his second consecutive victory, following his triumph over Spaniard David Puig in a playoff at the Macau International Series last March.
