Baghdad and Washington discuss ways to raise the level of cooperation

Iraq discussed with the United States of America ways to raise the level of bilateral cooperation in a way that contributes to supporting its security, political and economic stability.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Undersecretary for Bilateral Affairs, Muhammad Hussein Bahr Al-Uloum, received the US Ambassador, Elena Romanowski, and during the meeting, they discussed mechanisms for developing Iraqi-US relations and ways to raise the level of bilateral cooperation in a way that contributes to supporting Iraq’s security, political and economic stability, as well as Discussing a range of regional and international issues of common interest and how to strengthen diplomatic means that respond to and adapt to current changes.

The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs expressed the Iraqi government’s readiness to cooperate with the government of the United States of America in the interest of the two countries.

For her part, the US Ambassador expressed her government’s aspiration for more exchange and close coordination between the two countries.
