Border Guard Foils Attempts to Smuggle over One Million Amphetamine Tablets, 240 Kilograms of Hashish in Tabuk, Eastern Regions

Riyadh, The Official Spokesman of the Border Guard Colonel Misfir bin Ghannam Al-Qiraini has stated that the proactive security follow-up of criminal network activities involving in smuggling narcotics into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has resulted in foiling an attempt to smuggle 495,481 tablets of Amphetamine in Ras Tanura, the Eastern Region. Additionally, the maritime patrol in Al-Khafji sector has foiled an attempt to smuggle 241 kilograms of Hashish and 419,000 tablets of Amphetamine.

The maritime patrol has also foiled an attempt to smuggle 334,000 tablets of Amphetamine in Tabuk Region.

Colonel Misfir Al-Qiraini noted that preliminary legal measures have been taken, reiterating that the security forces of the Border Guard will continue to confront all attempts to smuggle narcotics into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
