KSrelief Distributes over 158 Tons of Ramadan Food Baskets in Al-Mahrah Governorate, Yemen

Al-Mahrah, Yemen– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) Wednesday distributed 158 tons and 895 kilograms of Ramadan food baskets for the neediest families in Al-Mahrah Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 8,910 individuals as part of the Ramadan Feeding Initiative for the year 2022 (1443 Hijri).

This aid is an extension of relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to affected countries and peoples around the world.

KSrelief provides emergency food aid for 1,500 needy families in Aden

Aden– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued providing emergency food aid to needy families within the food security project in Yemen, where 1,500 families who lost their breadwinners benefited from food aid provided in the districts of Dar Saad, Sheikh Othman and Mansoura in Aden governorate.

The Undersecretary of Aden Governorate for Martyrs and Wounded Affairs, Alawi Al-Nuba, indicated that the food baskets provided by the center relieve a lot of the burdens of thousands of families who lost their breadwinners, praising the Center’s support and its continuation in providing humanitarian aid to his country in all its forms.

This comes as part of the Food Security Support Project 2022, which is implemented by the center in Yemen, and aims to distribute more than 192,000 food baskets weighing more than 20,000 tons to needy and affected families in 15 Yemeni governorates.

The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition: A Saudi Humanitarian Initiative Will Release (163) Houthi Detainees Who Had Been Involved in Hostilities Against the Kingdom

Riyadh– A statement by the Official Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Brigadier General Turki Al-Malki

“The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will release (163) Houthi detainees who had participated in hostilities against the Kingdom as a humanitarian initiative in extension to previous ones, and support of all the endeavors and efforts to bring about peace and end the Yemeni conflict, in addition to supporting UN efforts to stabilize the current ceasefire, and create conducive efforts for dialogue between Yemeni parties. Additionally, this humanitarian initiative aims to aid in ending the PoW, Detainee and Martyr case in accordance to Islamic principles, inherent Arab values as well as the International Humanitarian Law in the third Geneva Convention provisions that were stalled ever since 2018 in the Stockholm Agreement.

The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition has begun the process of releasing the (163) detainees in coordination with the ICRC in order for them to be transported the Yemeni Capital Sana’a.

Putting an end to the prisoner exchange and martyr case is a priority to the political and military leaderships, who have always reaffirmed that dealings in these cases should be purely undertaken in a humanitarian manner, away from any political or military gains and agendas.”

Over 800 Engineers, Technicians, Workers Supervise Maintenance of Grand Holy Mosque

Makkah– The Grand Holy Mosque receives high attention, constant care, continuous work round the clock, distinguished efforts and high-quality services that are provided by the Presidency General of the Affairs for the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet’s Holy Mosque to the mosque visitors and its visitors of Umrah performers and pilgrims. These efforts reflect the wise leadership’s interest, where the presidency’s agency for technical, operational and maintenance affairs and the administration of facilities work on following up on the operation and maintenance of electronic, electric and mechanical systems at the Grand Holy Mosque and its facilities through providing a field engineering work team round the clock supported by technical and administrative personnel to ensure implementing the work with high quality and perfect performance, under the follow up of the undersecretary general for technical, operational and maintenance affairs and facility administration Eng. Sultan Al-Qurashi.

The general administration for operation and maintenance seeks to cover all maintenance works at the Grand Holy Mosque through setting plans and studies and implementing works on the ground, achieving the highest degrees of excellence and accuracy thanks to being supported by human personnel with the highest levels of professionalism.

These human personnel include 205 engineers, 450 technicians and 200 workers who inspect 8,000 speakers, 120,000 lighting units, 4,000 electric panels, 20 power generators, and 6,350 fans. Other tasks include supervising 202 elevators, 16 escalators, 1,000 fire extinguisher boxes, checking on water reservoirs with a capacity of 1,500 cubic meters, 5,000 bathrooms, 4,000 cooling devices and sterilizers and coolers for Zamzam water.

The general administration for operation and maintenance implements maintenance works for the power generators, invertors, control panels, load panels, lighting units and other systems round the clock under the supervision of a specialized field work team.

The civil work administration at the general administration enjoys a monitoring role on the building of the Grand Holy Mosque, yards and other surroundings, in addition to the external facilities.

KSrelief Distributes 875 Ramadan Food Baskets in N’Djamena

N’Djamena– The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 875 Ramadan food baskets to needy groups in the two social centers No. 1 and 9 in N’Djamena, Chad, benefiting 5,250 individuals, as part of the Ramadan feeding initiative for the year 1443 AH.

It is noteworthy that the project aims to distribute 14,046 food baskets in a number of Chadian provinces, benefiting more than 84,000 people.

This aid comes as an extension of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, to the affected countries and peoples around the world.

KSrelief Delivers 89 Tons of Medicines and Medical Supplies to Yemeni Ministry of Health

Aden– The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) delivered yesterday 89 tons of medicines and medical supplies to the pharmaceutical supply sector of the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population, as part of a project to support health facilities in Yemen.

The Director of the Pharmaceutical Supply Sector at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Suad Misri, indicated that the sector received from the KSrelief 89 tons of medicines for children, antibiotics and a quantity of medical supplies, to contribute to alleviating the patients’ pain, praising the KSrelief’s support for the Yemeni medical sector.

This comes within the framework of the KSrelief meeting the various needs of health sector institutions and hospitals in Yemen, aiming to improve the level of health care in Yemen.

Islamic Affairs Ministry’s Branch in Madinah Distributes 317,079 Copies of Books, Brochures, Gifts to Visitors of Prophet’s Holy Mosque

Madinah- The branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Madinah distributed around 317,079 copies of books, brochures and gifts issued by the ministry for visitors of the Prophet’s Holy Mosque through field centers affiliated with the branch in the region in each of Quba Mosque, Miqat Mosque and Sayed Al-Shohada Mosque.

The ministry noted that the distribution process started with the holy month of Ramadan and in several languages, including Arabic, English, Hindi, French, Bengali, Indonesian, and Urdu.

The coordination office for Islamic awareness in Hajj and Umrah and visit at the branch allocated 8 preachers to answer the questions and inquiries of visitors, where the preachers answered 9,242 inquiries.

These efforts exerted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance through its branch in Madinah are part of the awareness and guidance services provided for visitors to raise their awareness and guide them to all what they need of information so that they can perform their Umrah rituals easily and with tranquility.

KSrelief Distributes 500 Ramadan Food Baskets in Afghanistan

Kabul– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed Wednesday 500 Ramadan food baskets in Char Asiab district in the Afghan capital Kabul, benefiting 500 families, as part of the Ramadan Feeding Initiative for the year 2022 (1443 Hijri).

The project aims to distribute 18,600 food baskets in Afghanistan, benefiting 111,600 people.

This comes within the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to many needy and affected countries.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives Chairman of Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and his Deputies

Jeddah, Apr. 28, 2022, SPA — The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received today at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi and his deputies.

At the outset of the meeting, the Chairman and members of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the blessed month of Ramadan, commending the Kingdom’s constant support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace in Yemen and the region, and whatever achieves progress and prosperity for the Yemeni people.

During the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques exchanged congratulations with them on the holy month, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness and support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, wishing them every success in achieving security and stability for Yemen and its people.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Visits Prophet’s Mosque

Madinah– The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif, visited this evening the Prophet’s Mosque, in which he performed prayers, and was honored to greet the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) and his two companions – may Allah Almighty be pleased with them both.

Upon his arrival at the Prophet’s Mosque, he was received by a number of senior civil and military officials.

LPTC Organizes Workshop Entitled “Invest in Digitization”

Riyadh– The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission (LPTC) has organized a workshop under the title “Invest in Digitization,” which is one of the campaigns of the (Digital Publishing Program) initiative, which provides Saudi publishing houses and publishers with grants to cover the costs of converting paper books into digital books so that the beneficiary can publish his/her digital book on any platform he/she prefers in safe legal formats and compatible with e-readers and global digital book platforms.

The workshop discussed the importance of converting to digital books and the future plans for this program, the importance of registering for the (digitalization of books) track, and explaining that the first stage is concerned with converting text books only (such as literary books and novels that do not contain pictures or graphics).

On the sidelines of the workshop, a dialogue session was held with the largest platforms that discussed the importance of digital books and the importance of investing in them, given that the demand for digital books in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to statistics, is constantly increasing.

Jarir Bookstore, Obeikan Bookstore and ABJAD platform participated in the dialogue session to enrich the event with the most prominent experiences and recommendations in the future of the digital world of books.
