Redha Monfaredi elected as first VP of Ju-jitsu Asian Union


Abu Dhabi, Redha Ibrahim Monfaredi, President of Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu Federation, was elected as the First Vice President of the Ju-jitsu Asian Union during the General Assembly meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Abdulmunem Al Hashemi was re-elected as President of the Jiu-Jitsu Asian Union (JJAU) for another term. The elections were attended by Panagiotis Theodoropoulos, JJIF President, Joachim Thumfart, Director-General of JJIF and other Asian

The meeting also saw the election of Fahad Al Shamsi to the position of Secretary General of the Continental Ju-jitsu Union.

On this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Combat Sports Council, congratulated Redha Ibrahim Monfaraedi on his election as First Vice President of the Asian Ju-jitsu Union.

HH said that Monfaredi’s election to this high level Asian post was another distinguished success for the sport of jujitsu in Bahrain at regional and international levels.

On his part, Mo
nfaredi said that Bahrain’s assumption of this prestigious position in the Asian union was a great success that reflects the advancement of lBahraini ju-jitsu sport, with the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
