Saudi Arabia’s HRH Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Greece Hold Expanded Meeting in Athens

Athens– The Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis received today His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Maximos Mansion, the headquarters of the Prime Ministry in the Greek capital, Athens.

An official reception ceremony was held for HRH Crown Prince.

HRH Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of Greece held a bilateral meeting, during which Mitsotakis welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on his current official visit to Greece, wishing him and his companions a pleasant stay, while HRH Crown Prince expressed his happiness with this visit, appreciating the hospitality and good reception.

HRH Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of Greece held an expanded meeting in the presence of the delegations of the two countries.

During the expanded meeting, they reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, promising opportunities in various fields and ways to develop them to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

A number of issues of common interest and the latest developments in the region were also discussed.

HRH Crown Prince and the Greek Prime Minister witnessed the signing of the agreement to establish the Saudi-Greek Strategic Partnership Council.

HRH Crown Prince and the Prime Minister also witnessed the exchange of a number of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries including an agreement in the field of energy, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of sports, an agreement on cooperation in the fight against crime, an agreement to protect and encourage investment between the two countries, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the health field, an agreement for cooperation in the military field, a memorandum of understanding in the field of scientific and technical cooperation, a technical cooperation program in the fields of standards and quality, an agreement of cooperation in the field of documents and archiving, and a submarine cable agreement.

More than 104,000 Pilgrims Leave for their Homes through Madinah Airport

Madinah– The Saudi Press Agency “SPA” has monitored the regulatory efforts exerted by various authorities concerned with Hajj activities at Madinah Airport, where they implemented a specific program for the departure of the pilgrims, which starts with setting the time for pilgrims to leave their residences by buses in order to arrive at the airport 4 hours before the scheduled time for the flights to finish travel procedures and prevent overcrowding.

As many as 11,648 pilgrims yesterday left through the airport to their countries, bringing the total number of pilgrims who left through the airport to 104,635 pilgrims of various nationalities.

During the post-Hajj season, Madinah received 228,916 pilgrims, who came to pray at the Prophet’s Holy Mosque and visit religious and historical monuments in Madinah.

According to statistics on arriving and departing pilgrims in Madinah, 145,318 pilgrims have left Madinah through various ports. Statistics also showed that the number of pilgrims staying in Madinah until yesterday totaled 83,598 pilgrims from various nationalities.

Saudi Arabia Hosts the International Trade Fair for Organic Products (BIOFACH) in November

Riyadh– Saudi Arabia hosts the International Trade Fair for Organic Products (BIOFACH), from Nov 7 to 9, 2022 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.

The official announcement of hosting was at the international exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany during the period from 26 to 29 July 2022. The Kingdom’s delegation participating in Nuremberg exhibition was headed by the Deputy Minister for Agriculture Affairs, Dr. Sulaiman AlKhateeb.

The hosting is showing the kingdom’s position in the sector of organic agriculture, promoting globally of the ministry’s role. Also, it is supporting the local organic products, empowering startups, building an interactive platform, and creating a global attracting investment. Furthermore, attracting Major International Companies, exchanging knowledge, and discussing the issues of the organic community.

The International Trade Fair for Organic Products (BIOFACH) is one of the largest and leading exhibitions in the marketing of investment in organic agriculture and products. The exhibition was held in 7 countries (USA, Brazil, Thailand, India, China, Japan, and Germany). Its holding in Saudi Arabia is considered a unique event in the Arab Gulf region, the Middle East, and North Africa. The Kingdom seeks to be a regional center for organic agriculture.

Dr. AlKhateeb stated that the exhibition includes participations from organic inputs companies, organic farms, commercial centers, specialized organic stores, service companies and agencies, specialized associations, local and international organizations concerned with organic agriculture, and import and export companies.

He pointed out that the international conference will include 50 speakers, more than 2,000 local and international participants, representatives of the most prominent international companies, entrepreneurs, international investors, and academics.

The conference aims to shed light on the most important issues of the local organic products such as vegetables, fruits, dates, coffee and tea, livestock production, organic inputs, and animal nutrition. Moreover, it aims to showcase the best and latest trends and innovations in the field of organic products. The exhibition also includes seminars, workshops.

Secretary General of GCC Meets Kuwaiti Foreign Minister

Kuwait– The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, met here today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance efforts in support of the joint GCC action process, in addition to a number of issues related to the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.

Saudi Stock Exchange Main Index Ends Trading Higher at 11,964.21 Points

Riyadh– Saudi Stock Exchange’s main index ended trading higher here today, gaining 89.99 points to close at 11,964.21 points.

The total value of the trading reported was SAR 5 billion, while the toll of shares traded was over 164 million, divided into over 300,000 deals.

The Saudi Parallel Market Index (NOMU) ended the day losing 247.03 points, to close at 20,791.18 points, with a valuation of SAR 21.3 million and an overall tally of more than 310,000 stocks traded and divided into as many as 1,450 deals.

KSrelief Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office

Riyadh– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) today in Riyadh signed a memorandum of joint cooperation with the

British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in the field of humanitarian aid.

It was signed by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Beez and British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Neil Crompton, in the presence of Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah.

The memorandum aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid, in addition to exchanging information, experiences, documents, studies, research, training and capacity-building in this field, as well as exchanging views and visits between specialists of both parties.

Jeddah Central Development Company and Cruise Saudi Sign a MoU to Develop the Design for the Jeddah Central Project International Luxury Cruise Terminal

Jeddah, July 25, 2022, SPA — Jeddah Central Development Company (JCDC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and a master developer of Jeddah Central Project, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cruise Saudi, a wholly-owned PIF company specializing in cruise ecosystem development.

According to the MoU, the two companies will work together to develop the design for Jeddah Central Development (JCD) project International Luxury Cruise Terminal. The Marina and terminal will contribute to transforming Jeddah’s coastline. Hence, fostering the growth and development of the Kingdom’s marine tourism industry.

The announcement reflects JCDC’s ambition to strengthen partnerships with leading national developers, and commitment to establishing Jeddah as one of the region’s superyacht and luxury cruise destinations.

The Marina and Luxury Cruise is set to provide Jeddah residents and visitors with new ways to experience the coastal areas. Additionally, other-in-progress beachside developments are underway. The outputs of the memorandum will also strengthen Jeddah’s position as a multi-faceted maritime hub alongside other regional competitors.

Eng. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Sulaim, CEO of JCDC, commented: “Jeddah’s proximity to the sea has greatly influenced its economic and cultural development over the years. HRH Crown Prince Arrives in Greece

Athens– His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, has arrived in the Republic of Greece.

Upon his arrival at Athens International Airport, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was received by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Greek Panagiotis Pikrammenos.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince headed, in an official procession, to Maximos Mansion, the headquarters of the Greek Prime Minister’s office, in Athens.

The official delegation of HRH the Crown Prince includes Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy; Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture; the Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammad Al-Aiban; the Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi; the Minister of Investment, Eng. In Implementation of Directives of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Surgical Operation to Separate Yemeni Siamese Twins “Mawaddah and Rahmah” to be Conducted This Thursday

Riyadh– In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, it was decided to conduct the surgical operation to separate the Yemeni Siamese twins “Mawaddah and Rahmah” from Aden Governorate, this Thursday, at King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital in King Abdulaziz Medical City at the Ministry of National Guard in Riyadh.

This came in a press statement to the Advisor at the Royal Court, the General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the head of the medical and surgical team, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah. He expected that the surgery will take about 11 hours, indicating that it would be carried out in 6 stages, with 28 participating doctors and specialists, in addition to technicians and nursing cadres, adding that the Yemeni Siamese twins are female, and were born connected to the lower chest and abdomen.

In his name and on behalf of the members of the medical and surgical team, Dr. Al-Rabeeah thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the great support that the medical team and the health sector in the Kingdom receive from the wise leadership.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives A Letter from President of Republic of Tunisia

Riyadh– The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received a letter from President Kais Saied of the Republic of Tunisia, dealing with the strong and solid bilateral relations that bind the two countries and peoples as well as ways to support and enhance them in various fields and at all levels.

The letter was received by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed Elkhereiji on behalf of Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today in Riyadh, during a meeting with Tunisian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Hisham Al-Forati.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various fields.

Permanent Arab Human Rights Committee to Hold Its 50th Regular Session in Cairo

Cairo– The Permanent Arab Human Rights Committee will hold the work of its 50th regular session tomorrow, at the Arab League headquarters, with the participation of the relevant government agencies in the member states, national human rights institutions, and civil society organizations with observer status to the committee.

The Assistant Secretary-General for Social Affairs of the Arab League, Ambassador Haifa Abu-Ghazaleh, explained, in a statement today, that the agenda includes several permanent items, foremost of which are Israeli violations and racist practices in the occupied Arab territories, and ways to address the dilemma of Arab prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons, in addition to new items, including “Controls, Standards, and Procedures for Granting Observer Status to National Human Rights Institutions at the Permanent Arab Committee for Human Rights”.

OIC Participates in Tashkent International Conference on Afghanistan

Jeddah– The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) participated in the Tashkent International Conference on Afghanistan, which was held today under the title “Security and Economic Development”, in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Secretary-General of the OIC Hissein Brahim Taha praised the timely initiative of the Uzbek authorities to hold this major event at this defining moment in the future of Afghanistan.

During a speech, delivered on his behalf by the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the OIC to Afghanistan, Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, he stressed the urgent need to adopt a coordinated and integrated strategic approach to deal with the huge challenges facing Afghanistan, stressing that the way to achieve this is continuous and constructive communication with the authorities in the country.

The Secretary-General of the OIC called on multilateral humanitarian and development organizations to provide humanitarian assistance that would save the lives of the Afghan people in these critical circumstances, encouraging the member states of the OIC, the countries of the world and international and regional organizations to contribute to the organization’s trust fund for Afghanistan.
