KSrelief signs a joint agreement with UNICEF to promote radio education for children in Burkina Faso

Riyadh– King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) yesterday signed a joint agreement with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to promote radio education for children affected by the conflict in the Republic of Burkina Faso. The agreement was signed by the Assistant Supervisor General of the Center for Operations and Programs, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, and the representative of UNICEF in the Gulf region, Al-Tayeb Adam, at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh.

The agreement aims to enable children affected by insecurity and school closures due to the Corona pandemic to access basic education through radio education and to enhance children’s reading and writing skills, benefiting 90,000 children.

This agreement comes within the efforts made by the Kingdom, represented by Center, to support the education sector for needy groups in the affected countries around the world.

Saudi Islamic Affairs Ministry Implements Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar Program in the Republic of Benin

Porto-Novo– The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Nigeria, has started implementing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s program for Iftar (breaking-fast) in the Republic of Benin.

The Ramadan food baskets targeted 24,000 beneficiaries, some of which were distributed in the presence of the Mayor of Sakété Municipality and Supervisor of the Ministry’s Advocates in Benin Dr. Thani Abdelhamid Al-Aho.

Marib– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 214 tons of Ramadan food baskets to the needy families in Marib Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 12,000 individuals, as part of the Ramadan feeding initiative for the year 1443 AH.

This aid comes within the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, to the affected countries and peoples around the world.

Over 30,000 Copies of Holy Quran Gifted to Visitors of Grand Holy Mosque

Makkah– The General Presidency of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Holy Mosque gifted more than 30,000 copies of the Holy Quran to visitors of the Grand Holy Mosque between the beginning of Ramadan and yesterday.

The copies of the Holy Quran are a gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. They are from the publications of the King Fahd Complex for the printing of the Holy Quran in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah.

More than 2,731,654 Iftar Meals Distributed to Fasting People During First 20 Days of Ramadan, Report

Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, Saudi Arabia, Apr. 24, 2022, SPA — The Agency of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque announced that more than 2,731,654 Iftar meals have been distributed to worshipers and visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque over the first 20 days of the blessed month of Ramadan, it was reported today.

Some 3,000 nutrition contractors and more than 1,500 volunteers took part in distributing the Iftar (breakfasting) meals over visitors of Islam’s second holiest mosque.

GDNC Arrests Two Residents for Possessing 1.9 kg of Methamphetamine

Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, The General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) has arrested two Pakistanis residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for being caught possessing 1.9 kgs of Methamphetamine (Shabu) in Eastern Region, it was reported today.

After having taken initial legal procedures, the authority concerned referred the detainees to the Public Prosecution.

Estimated at over SAR 2 Billion, Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Directs to Disburse Ramadan Aid for Social Insurance Beneficiaries

Riyadh– The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered the disbursement of Ramadan aid for beneficiaries of the social insurance with SAR 1,000 for heads of family and SAR 500 for dependants.

It is expected for the aid amount, which is estimated at more than SAR 2 billion, to be deposited to the bank accounts of beneficiaries directly over the next few hours.

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on this generous initiative.
