Saudi Foreign Minister Meets with Yemeni Counterpart


Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah yesterday met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen Dr. Shaya Mohsin Zindani.

At the outset of the meeting, the Saudi Foreign Minister offered his congratulations to Dr. Zindani for his recent appointment as Yemen’s foreign minister, wishing him all success in his new position. The two ministers reviewed the aspects of bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various fields along with discussing issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber.

Bahrain Comic Con 2024 kicks off


Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the fifth edition of the Bahrain Comic Con kicked off today at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Bahrain Comic Con 2024 offers the attendees the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including exploring the designated

An emergency session of the Endowments Council regarding the violation of Al-Aqsa under the pretext of holidays


Ma’an – The Council of Endowments, Affairs and Islamic Holy Sites held an urgent meeting today, Thursday, to examine the bitter reality that the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is suffering from, including the growth and encroachment of extremist groups in their incursions into the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and desecration of it under the pretext of religious holidays, and the occupation authorities’ persistence in planning this behavior based on imposing The facts are based on the logic of force, and within the dimensions of a replacement narrative that ignores the facts of our Islamic and Arab history in the city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which spares no effort in canceling and obliterating them.

The Council of Endowments, Affairs and Islamic Holy Sites in Jerusalem confirmed its growing fears of the state of official Arab and Islamic negligence and helplessness regarding the issue of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which extremist groups translated by organizing central and massive i
ncursions into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in conjunction with preventing masses of Muslim worshipers from entering their mosque in light of the spectacle. Bloody, it cannot be separated from the general picture and the reality of the situation throughout the occupied territories.

A child died after falling into a pool of water in Kirkuk

A medical source in Kirkuk Governorate announced that a child in primary school died after falling into a pool of water south of Kirkuk Governorate.

The source said, ‘The child (Al-Farouq Omar Ahmed), born in 2015, is a primary school student and lives in Al-Sayadah apartment complex south of Kirkuk. He died by drowning after falling into a pool of water near his house, where he was playing with a group of his friends. He went down to the pool and tried to swim in it, but he could not.’ He could not get out of it, which led to his drowning.’

Council of Senior Scholars: Not Permissible to Perform Hajj without Permit, and Whoever Cannot Obtain Permit is Considered Unable to Do So


The Council of Senior Scholars has confirmed that obtaining a Hajj permit is obligatory according to Sharia law, which seeks to promote and enhance the interests of individuals and the community while preventing harm and evil. The council emphasized that going for Hajj without obtaining a permit is not permissible, and those who do so are committing a sin.

The council’s statement was issued today following a presentation by representatives of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. They highlighted the challenges and risks associated with failing to comply with the permit requirement.

The council’s statement notes that government agencies responsible for organizing the Hajj season develop a comprehensive plan based on authorized numbers that cover all aspects, including security, health, accommodation, catering, and other services. The more the number of pilgrims is consistent with the auth
orized figures, the better the service quality and the lower the risk of harm, it said.

This includes preventing situations such as sleeping on the roads, which can impede their movement and transportation and may lead to casualties due to overcrowding.

South Korea to acquire American SM-3 missiles


South Korea has announced its intention to enhance its missile defense capabilities by purchasing Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) interceptors from the United States to enhance missile defense against North Korean threats.

The defense procurement agency of South Korea, as reported by the Korean news agency (Yonhap), has indicated that its weapons programme review committee has approved the plan to acquire SM-3 missiles through Foreign Military Sales (government-to-government) by 2030, at an estimated cost of USD 583.4 million.

The anti-ballistic missile system is expected to be installed on South Korean Aegis destroyers.

The SM-3 system, a ship based surface-to-air missile used by the US Navy, is capable of intercepting ballistic missiles at altitudes exceeding 100 kilometers.

Ma’an Correspondent – The occupation forces prevented dozens of Palestinian youth from entering Al-Aqsa to perform Friday prayers, beat and pushed a number of them, and suppressed prayer at the Lions’ Gate.

The occupation forces erected iron barricades at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially on Bab al-Asbat Road, and arrested young men arriving there and checked IDs, in addition to conducting a physical search and searching bags and suitcases.

Coinciding with the time of the call to prayer, the forces imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa via the Lions’ Gate road. By forcing them to walk on a designated road only, which led to crowding in the place, and refused to allocate any lane for women and the elderly, and during that time, it prevented dozens of young men and boys from entering Al-Aqsa to perform prayers, and assaulted them by pushing and beating them to force them to leave the place, and also assaulted the elderly by pushing them while demanding them. Seven people killed and injured in a traffic accident on Nasiriyah-Basra Road

A Health source in Dhi Qar announced that 7 people were killed and injured in a traffic accident on the highway linking Nasiriyah and Basra.

The source told the Nasiriyah News Network that the bus collided, while arriving at the city limits of Nasiriyah, with a truck near the Asia Restaurant, causing the death of one person and the injury of 6 others.

He indicated that the injured were transferred to Souq Al-Shuyoukh Hospital to receive treatment.
