HM King, Iraqi President exchange congratulations on Eid Al Fitr


Manama, A phone call took place today between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid, the President of the Republic of Iraq.

The two leaders exchanged congratulations on the approaching of Eid Al Fitr and wishes for many returns of the occasion with more progress and prosperity for their countries and across the Arab and Islamic nations.

Municipalities Minister, Works Minister inspect development projects in Northern Governorate


Manama, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, paid a visit to the sixth constituency of the Northern Governorate.

The ministers inspected the ongoing developments within the third batch of projects for roads and sanitation.

Al Mubarak affirmed the keenness to implement services that contribute to enhancing the kingdom’s developmental projects, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and followed up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He highlighted the construction of a new park in block 716 in Al Ramli District, which will span 3,624 square meters, including a 450-meter walkway, a playground area of 364 metres, 232 square metres of sports fields, as well as the planting of 228 trees.

Al Ramli afforestation project in Block 715 spans 12.8 square metres and includes 2,511 trees, Al Mubarak added.

Al Mubarak was also briefed on the afforest
ation plan in the sixth constituency, which includes planting 8,195 trees in 11 locations.

The minister also inspected the development of Aali walkway in block 732, which included providing special flooring for the walkway, rehabilitating buildings and facilities, installing solar-powered lighting, setting up a water mist cooling sprinkler system, and installing additional security cameras.

On his part, Al Hawaj said that the implementation of several infrastructure and sanitation projects in the sixth constituency of the Northern Governorate comes within the kingdom’s plan to enhance the quality of public services.

The minister highlighted the implementation of a sewer network project in block 708 at Salmabad and block 715 at Al Ramli, which will serve 103 properties.

The Ministry of Works recently completed a sewage network project in block 742 at Aali, which contributed to serving 95 properties, Al Hawaj added.

Al Hawaj emphasised the ministry’s efforts to construct sewer systems throughout the kingdo
m, improve the road network in different governorates, and pave roads 4261 and 4270.

Jaffari Endownments Chairman: Royal pardon consolidates Bahrain’s unity


Manama, Yousef bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Jaffari Endowments Council, expressed appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the royal pardoning 1584 inmates, coinciding with his Silver Jubilee and Eid Al Fitr.

The decree embodied the King’s profound care for his people, including those convicted in various cases, he said. He emphasised that the royal pardon underscored national unity and social solidarity, and demonstrated Bahrain’s values of forgiveness and tolerance.

The royal decree, especially during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, aims to uphold stability in Bahraini families, ensure societal cohesion, and encourage participation in national development, Al Saleh added.

He also praised the efforts and ongoing support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting national unity and development. He highlighted initiatives aimed at ensuring a dignified life and welfare for Bahrain’s citizens.

Al Saleh thanked Interior Mi
nister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and all national entities for implementing His Majesty’s pardon directives, which foster unity and pave the path for Bahrain’s bright future.

Tulkarm Battalion: We clashed with the occupation forces and achieved casualties


Tulkarm – Ma’an – The Tulkarm Brigade, affiliated with the Al-Quds Brigades, said that its resistance fighters clashed with the occupation forces in several areas in the Tulkarm camp in the West Bank, setting up ambushes and causing confirmed casualties among the ranks of the occupation forces.

The occupation forces stormed Tulkarm camp at dawn today, and clashed with Palestinian resistance fighters who confronted them in the camp before withdrawing from it.

Al-Aqsa – Occupation forces attack worshipers and obstruct entry to dawn prayer


Jerusalem – Ma’an – The occupation forces stormed, before dawn on Monday, the Al-Qibli prayer hall in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Worshipers who were present in the Al-Qibli prayer hall explained that special forces suddenly stormed the prayer hall, assaulted the worshipers by beating and pushing them, and arrested two foreign Muslims.

In the early hours of today, with people arriving to perform the dawn prayer on the 29th of the month of Ramadan, special forces were stationed at the open gates of Al-Aqsa and deliberately obstructed the entry of young worshipers under the age of 50 from entering Al-Aqsa. By detaining them, delaying their entry, and determining the door of the council to enter Al-Aqsa, it also arrested some of them, ghosted them, and conducted a field investigation with them.

CONTINUED CLOSURE OF JBEIL HIGHWAY UNTIL FATE OF LF COORDINATOR IS REVEALED


National News Agency correspondent reported that the Jbeil Highway has remained closed in both directions since last night, with the exception of the seaside road, which is witnessing heavy traffic. Police officers from the municipalities of Jbeil, Balat-Qartaboun and Mestita are working to facilitate traffic.

Young men from the Lebanese Forces, the Lebanese Kataeb Party, the National Liberal Party, and the Free Patriotic Movement, are gathering in said place, along with a number of MPs from the ‘Strong Republic’ bloc, refusing to open the highway before knowing the fate of the Lebanese Forces’ coordinator, Pascal Sleiman, who was kidnapped yesterday on the Amchit-Tertej highway in the neighborhood of Al-Kharba.

‘Strong Republic’ bloc MP Ziad Al-Hawat, confirmed that ‘nothing is certain yet about Sleiman’s fate, and that the security forces and Lebanese army intelligence have been making efforts since yesterday to find out about his fate,’ hoping that ‘the coming hours will bring good news.’

KSrelief Distributes 450 Food Baskets in Bangladesh


Dhaka, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday distributed 450 food baskets to the neediest families in the Republic of Bangladesh, benefiting 2,250 individuals, as part of the “Etaam” food distribution project in Bangladesh in 1445 AH.

The project aims to distribute 15,700 baskets containing basic foodstuffs, benefiting the neediest families during the holy month of Ramadan in 1445 AH.

The aid comes within the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the Kingdom through KSrelief to improve food security in many countries worldwide.

KSrelief Delivers 50 Tons of Dates as Gift from Saudi Arabia to Cote d’Ivoire


Yamoussoukro, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) delivered on Friday 50 tons of dates as a gift from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.

On behalf of the KSrelief, the Saudi Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire, Saad bin Bakheat Al-Qathami, handed over the aid to the Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad, Filbert Kouassi Gleglaud.

This occurred in the presence of several officials and a team from the KSrelief, in the capital Yamoussoukro.

This gift is part of the humanitarian and relief programs provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to several countries, reaching the most needy families in different parts of the world.

Bahraini Ambassador to US signs MoU with Bahrain Fine Arts Society President


Manama, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Bahraini Ambassador to the US, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Shaikha Marwa bint Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Fine Arts Society.

The MoU aimed at enhancing art and cultural cooperation, highlighting Bahraini art in international forums.

The MoU focuses on showcasing the works of a selection of Bahraini artists in fine art and photography at the headquarters of the Embassy of Bahrain in the US.

Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid praised the role of the Bahrain Fine Arts Society in achieving Bahrain’s vision of promoting the artistic movement.

He stressed the importance of arts as a means of communication and dialogue between different cultures, and its major role in documenting the history of and the identity of peoples.

Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid noted that signing the MoU was an opportunity to promote Bahraini art and its development and to shed light on the achievements of Bahraini artists and exchanging expertise and experiences wi
th artists from other countries.

Shaikha Marwa bint Rashid commended the role of the Embassy of Bahrain to the US in enhancing communication and cooperation between the two peoples in all fields, including the cultural and artistic fields.

She added that displaying the artwork of Bahraini artists at the headquarters of the Embassy of Bahrain in the US will introduce Bahraini artists to the American audience.

NIHR welcomes royal decree pardoning inmates


Manama, The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) welcomed the royal decree issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, pardoning inmates who have been convicted for riot and criminal cases, on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty’s accession to the throne and Eid Al Fitr.

The number of inmates pardoned by this decree is 1584.

Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, the President of NIHR, expressed appreciation, on his behalf and the members of the board of commissioners of the NIHR, to His Majesty for this humanitarian initiative.

Al Derazi emphasised the importance of the royal decree in enhancing the cohesion and stability of Bahraini society, while protecting its social fabric, upholding the public interest, safeguarding individual and civil rights, and adhering to the principles of justice, the rule of law, and the preservation of judicial independence.

The decree offers the opportunity for positive re-integration into society, promoting the values of human rights in line with the Kingdom’s
approach in this regard, he added.
