The Kuwaiti delegation participating in the celebrations of the National Day of the Iraqi Press arrived, today, Wednesday, to Basra Governorate, through Safwan border crossing.

The delegation is scheduled to go to Baghdad to join the Arab and foreign delegations that will come to Iraq to participate in the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the press family’s celebrations of this national occasion.

The PM Allocates A Plane To Evacuate The Iraqi Community From Sudan

Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, announced today, Wednesday, the response of Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani to the members of the Iraqi community in Sudan, by allocating a plane to transport them to Baghdad.

Al-Sahhaf said, “Al-Sudani responded to the appeal of the Iraqi community stranded in Sudan,” noting that “he agreed to allocate a C130 air transport plane to bring them back.”

He added, “The Emergency Diplomatic Response Cell at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, is following with interest the Prime Minister’s directives and has taken urgent measures in this regard.”

Russian troops repel a number of Ukrainian attacks during last 24 hours, Defense Ministry announces

The Russian Aerospace Forces Tuesday launched group strikes by long-range precision air-based weapons against hostile locations, as well as a foreign-made ammunition and weapons depot.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in its daily report that all the assigned targets have been engaged. The goal of the strike has been achieved.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian troops continued to attempt to carry out offensive operations in South Donetsk direction, as well as near Artyomovsk.

In the Vremevka salient, the Kiev regime launched an offensive by the units hastily formed from the remnants of the Ukrainian brigades which had previously suffered heavy losses.

Three attacks by Ukrainian units reinforced with tanks and armoured fighting vehicles were repelled in the area of Makarovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) over the past 24 hours.

All the attacks were repelled by courageous and decisive actions of Vostok Group of Forces, air strikes and artillery fire. Of the ten AFU armoured personnel carriers involved in the attacks, eight were eliminated. Eight of ten AFU armoured personnel carriers involved in the attacks were eliminated.

Total losses in those areas during the day were up to 275 Ukrainian troops, four tanks, fifteen armoured fighting vehicles, eight vehicles, and an Msta-B howitzer.

Up to 350 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, and six motor vehicles were neutralised in the fighting.

In addition, actions of one sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been thwarted near Timkovka (Kharkov region).

More than 35 Ukrainian servicemen, one armoured personnel carrier, one pick-up truck, and one D-20 howitzer have been destroyed during the day.

In Kherson direction, up to 30 Ukrainian troops, three motor vehicles, one Msta-B howitzer, and one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer have been neutralised over the past 24 hours.

In addition, six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed in the areas of Staromlynovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Rabotino (Zaporozhye region), Korsunka (Kherson region), Pshenichnoye and Novokrasnyanka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

In total, 442 airplanes and 238 helicopters, 4,585 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defence missile systems, 9,939 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,122 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 5,100 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 10,927 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Israeli occupation troops arrest two Palestinians in Bethlehem

The Israeli occupation forces arrested, at dawn on Tuesday, two Palestinians in Bethlehem, the West Bank.

“The occupation troops stormed al-Dawha town and Jabel Hindaza west of the city, they broke into the houses and arrested two Palestinians,” according to Wafa News Agency.

On Monday, scores of Palestinians were wounded and others were arrested as the occupation forces raided several areas in the west Bank.

Syria: Western economic measures violation of international legitimacy

Assistant Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mohammad Firas Nabhan, called for removing unilateral Western economic measures imposed on the Syrian people.

Nabhan said in a speech at Asia and the Pacific Regional Labor Ministerial Meeting, held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, that economic sanctions

imposed on the Syrian people are flagrant violation of international legitimacy that contradict the Declaration of Human Rights and the principles of the Charter of the UN.

He stressed the need for working to establish decent work standards and work market governance to strengthen the foundations of social justice, clarifying that Syria is still facing an unjust terrorist war supported by the colonial powers through which they sought to sabotage all the economic and social achievements for the Syrian people.

Nabhan called for translating the recommendations about the conditions of workers in the occupied Arab lands effectively on the ground, in a way that provides protection and guarantee the rights of workers in Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan.

MIKATI CHAIRS CABINET SESSION AT 3:00 PM ON TUESDAY

Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, will chair at 3:00 pm on Tuesday a cabinet session to be held at the Grand Serail.

The Prime Minister earlier met at the Grand Serail with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Anne Grillo, with whom he held a horizon tour dealing with the situation in Lebanon and the region.

The pair also discussed the French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian’s anticipated visit to Beirut next week.

The Premiere also chaired a meeting to discuss the 2023 budget. He then received a delegation representing the “National Accord” bloc.

The Prime Minister later had an audience with MP Michel Daher, who said on emerging that discussions mainly focused on ministerial affairs, as well as the latest developments in the Bekaa region.

BDF chief congratulates Special Battalion/83 Commander, BDF team

Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, today sent a cable of congratulations to the Commander of the Special Battalion/83, and the BDF team which had succeeded in clinching the third place at the International Sniper Competition, held in Türkiye.

The BDF chief hailed the landmark achievement, noting that it is outcome of the distinguished level of the training programmes enjoyed by Bahraini military personnel, thanks to the constant care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi has received Defense Attaché at the embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Brig. Gen. Adam A. Hassan and his accompanying delegation.

The two officials discussed issues of common interest and the coalition’s efforts to counter terrorism.

Interior Ministry Introduces Special Seal for Beneficiaries of Makkah Route Initiative

The General Directorate of Passports of the Ministry of Interior has introduced a special seal for beneficiaries of Makkah Route Initiative, containing the visual identity of the initiative.

The seal will be used in lounges of airports of the following beneficiary countries: Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkiye and Côte d’Ivoire.

The Makkah Route Initiative is one of Ministry of Interior initiatives within the Pilgrim Experience Program, which is also one of the Saudi Vision 2030 projects.

The initiative entails carrying out all travel procedures needed by the pilgrims in their homeland, including issuing visas electronically, ensuring that pilgrims have a clean bill of health, completing passport procedures at the airport in the country of departure, and coding and sorting the luggage according to the transportation and housing arrangements in the Kingdom. Upon arrival, pilgrims are transferred to their places of residence in Makkah and Madinah through designated bus tracks, and their luggage is delivered at their places of residence.

Commander of AGENOR Task Force Visits MSC

Rear Admiral Mauro Panebianco, Commander of Task Force of AGENOR and his military accompanying delegation visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) today.

Upon their arrival the centre, the delegation was received by Commodore Adil Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the MSC.

Members of the delegation were briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the centre in the safety of the Omani maritime environment. They also viewed its latest equipment and technologies used in carrying out its national duties.

RNO Commander Receives Commander of AGENOR Task Force

Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received at Al Murtafa’a Garrison today Rear Admiral Mauro Panebianco, Commander of Task Force of AGENOR, who is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues related to naval fields, as well as promoting joint cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Military Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Muscat.

Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Leaves Oman

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah left Muscat today, following an official visit to Oman during which he was given an audience by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

Sheikh Saud Al Qasimi and his accompanying delegation were seen off by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Oman.

During the visit, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah was accompanied by Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi, Sheikh Saqr bin Saud Al Qasimi and a number of officials at the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah
