CAUTIOUS CALM IN SOUTH LEBANON AFTER ISRAELI SHELLING STOPS

The Israeli artillery bombardment targeting South Lebanon has stopped more than an hour ago, our reporter said on Thursday, adding that the targeted area currently witnesses cautious calm. Earlier on Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces’ artillery fired a number of heavy shells from its positions along the border with Lebanon in the western sector, near the outskirts of Qleila and Al-Maalieh in the district of Tyre, south Lebanon. The area also witnessed the launch of a number of Katyusha rockets, originating from Lebanese territory in the western sector. The enemy’s artillery also bombed the outskirts of Qleila, Al-Maalieh and Wadi Zibqin.
