Chief of Army Staff of Kuwait Visits IMCTC

Riyadh– The Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, received here today, the Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant-General Khalid bin Saleh Al-Sabah and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Acting Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Major General Pilot Mohammad bin Saeed Al-Moghidi.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of joint cooperation between the IMCTC and Kuwait on issues of common interest.

During the visit, Al-Sabah listened to a detailed explanation of the coalition’s efforts to combat terrorism in the four fields; intellectual, media, combating terrorist financing and the military, and the role it plays in coordinating and intensifying the efforts of the member states of the coalition.

Al-Sabah praised the role played by the IMCTC in various fields of combating terrorism, pointing out that terrorism is a scourge that all countries and organizations must unite to eradicate by all means and methods.

For his part, the IMCTC Secretary-General stressed the great and pioneering role of Kuwait in combating terrorism and extremism in all its forms and fields, its membership in many regional and international organizations concerned with combating terrorism and extremism, and its principle that rejects violence and extremism.
