Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Visits Headquarters of Riyadh Region Principality and Al-Musmak Fort

Riyadh, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited today the Qasr Al-Hukm District in Riyadh, including the headquarters of Riyadh Region Principality and Al-Musmak Fort.

Upon his arrival, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region; Dr. Faisal Al-Sudairi, Undersecretary of Riyadh Region Principality and a number of senior officials.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques toured the principality’s headquarters, during which he reviewed a history full of achievements during his time as the Governor of Riyadh Region.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also visited Al-Musmak Fort, where he toured its mosque and Majlis (Diwaniyah), the main courtyard and other open courtyards, the loft, and some pieces of folklore.

Al-Musmak Fort is a historical and heritage landmark whose construction began during the reign of Imam Abdullah bin Faisal bin Turki bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud, in 1865. The Fort tells the story of King Abdulaziz in unifying the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the visit, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was accompanied by Prince Mansour bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Khalid bin Saad bin Fahd; Prince Sattam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Faisal bin Fahd Saud bin Mohammed; Prince Dr. Hossam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Baha Region; Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Dr. Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region; Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz.
