Baghdad / NINA / – The General Authority for Customs announced, on Tuesday, the seizure of 26 trucks carrying various violating materials at the northern and western entrances to Baghdad.
The Authority stated in a statement: “Within one day, 26 violating trucks were seized by the investigation and anti-smuggling departments of the directorates of the General Authority for Customs, for violating import conditions and controls.”
It explained: “The Investigation and Anti-Smuggling Department in the Customs Directorate of the Western Region seized 3 trucks loaded with (roofs insulation, detergents and motorcycles), while the Investigation and Anti-Smuggling Department in the Customs Directorate of the Central Region seized 23 trucks loaded with thermal insulation, spare tools, freezers and iron rolls, iron bases, clothes, wood and various other materials.
It added: “The necessary legal measures have been taken against the violators.”/ End
