Deputy Speaker discusses with the Minister of Oil the development of work and the ministry’s plans

Baghdad Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, discussed with Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani the development of work, the ministry’s plans, and the continuation of efforts to establish refineries to meet the internal need.

A statement from the office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated: “Abdullah visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Oil and met with Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani and discussed with him a number of issues and files related to the development of work, the ministry’s plans, and the continuation of efforts to open and establish refineries to meet the internal need without relying on the outside.”

The statement added: “It was agreed to speed up supplying citizens with white oil, especially in the Kurdistan region and the northern governorates due to the difficult climate,” calling for an increase in the share of gas oil / kerosene / for private generators in order to reduce the price of the ampere and relieve the burden of the citizen.

They also discussed dealing with the problem of the trainees of the North Oil Company, the issue of mismanagement, poor representation and balance in the company, and searching for ways to address the problems and obstacles.
