Deputy Speaker Meets Head Of Integrity Commission And Stresses The Resolution Of The Major Corruption Files

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, visited the Federal Integrity Commission building, during which he met with its president, Judge Haider Hanoun, and the advanced staff in it, to discuss a number of important files and issues.

Mandalawi, according to his office’s statement, praised the efforts of the Integrity Commission in following up major corruption files and the funds resulting from these operations inside and outside Iraq, stressing the importance of resolving the files that occupy public opinion as soon as possible, and working to recover funds with those wanted to enhance the citizen’s confidence in his official institutions.

He stressed the need to communicate and coordinate with the international side in the field of pursuing corrupt and wanted persons and recovering funds, and the importance of closer cooperation between the Council and the Commission regarding corruption files that are considered by parliamentary committees, especially the Integrity Committee, stressing the support of the Council’s presidency for the work of the Commission, and its keenness to legislate laws related to combating corruption, and the necessity of holding courses, workshops and events to enhance the skills of PMs in the field of fighting corruption, as well as what is related to the employees of the Council and the Commission.
