Manama, Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma received Sacred Heart School Principal Sister Roselyn Thomas,and commended the school’s efforts to since its establishments 74 years ago.
He recalled the landmark visit of His Holiness Pope Francis of the Vatican, on the sidelines of his historic trip to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The minister was briefed about preparations to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee as part of festivities in December marking the 75th anniversary of its inception.
The principal expressed thanks and gratitude to the minister for following up on the school’s efforts to improve graduates’ standard.
She also praised the efforts made by the minister to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence, acceptance of others and respect of religious in school curricula and students’ activities.
In attendance were Father Xavier D’Souza and Sister Rose Celine.
