For the fourth consecutive day, a record increase in Coronavirus in China

Baghdad The health authorities in China announced the registration of about 35,000 new infections with the Coronavirus today, Saturday, a new record high for the fourth consecutive day.

According to official data, with this number of infections with the Coronavirus, the total cases in the country exceed 300 thousand and 600 cases, while the number of deaths has exceeded 5,232 since the beginning of the pandemic.

President Xi Jinping’s “zero COVID-19” policy, which entails comprehensive closures, continues, and China defends this policy, saying it is aimed at saving lives and is necessary not to put pressure on the health care system.

Officials vowed to continue this policy despite mounting public opposition and mounting losses in the world’s second largest economy.
