Four dead in a collision of two light planes in Spain

The Spanish Authorities announced that four passengers were killed today, Sunday, after two light planes collided in the sky near an airport in the north-east of the country.

The Catalan regional government said that firefighters found a burning plane in a forest near Moya Airport, north of Barcelona, after receiving a notification from a person who witnessed its fall.

“Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters found two bodies inside the light aircraft,” the government added.

Hours later, firefighters found a second light plane that had crashed 300 meters from the first, with two bodies on board.

The authorities, who opened an investigation, believe that the two planes collided in the air./ End
