The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expressed in an issued statement on Saturday, its deep concern about the recent escalated military operations in the Red Sea and the military aircraft raids on Yemeni territory.

The Ministry called for reducing tension, stopping escalation and military operations through concerted international and regional efforts to support stability in the region, including the security of maritime navigation in the Red Sea region.

It also warned that failure to address the real causes of this escalation through a total and immediate cessation of the Israeli aggression and war on Gaza, may expand the circle of conflict that would threaten the entire Middle East and regional and international peace and security.

The Ministry concluded its statement by reaffirming that a just and comprehensive peace for the Palestinian issue based on international legitimacy resolutions is solely capable of achieving security, stability and prosperity for the countries of the Middle
East and the Red Sea region.
