The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Public Relations Department and Communication & Media Department organized today (Thursday) the First Public Relations & Media Forum under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Fatma bint Mohammed Al-Ajmi, MOH Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial & Planning Affairs in Sheraton Hotel.
A number of heads of public relations and patient services departments along with social media accounts administrators from all the Sultanate’s Governorates attended the Forum.
Adel bin Hamoud Al-Lamki, Director of Public Relations in the Ministry of Health touched upon the significant efforts of the two departments in highlighting the Ministry’s services to enhance the health system in the Sultanate of Oman.
He also stressed the vital role of public relations and communication and media in linking the Ministry to the outward, which presents the Ministry in the best image.
Furthermore, Al-Lamki, pointed out that the Forum aims to standardize concepts and efforts, as well as discuss the challenges facing the specialists in this field.
The Forum included lectures addressing the royal protocols, creating media content, monitoring, and analyzing news, and dealing with rumors and fake news.
