Indonesian Ambassador to Kingdom: Makkah Route Initiative Important to Serving Pilgrims

The Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdul Aziz Ahmad, stressed that the Makkah Route Initiative reflects the Kingdom’s serious efforts in providing facilities to pilgrims, mainly Indonesians.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, he expressed pride in the close and increasing cooperation between the two countries to ensure the comfort and safety of Indonesian pilgrims, noting that the Makkah Route Initiative at the Jakarta Airport provides an important benefit to serve pilgrims in Indonesia, looking forward to its implementation at all airports in Indonesia. He also affirmed Indonesia’s readiness to cooperate and boost partnership with the Kingdom to achieve the highest standards of comfort for pilgrims and facilitate procedures for pilgrims to perform their rituals easily.

The Indonesian ambassador also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their support and wise directives to enhance relations between the two brotherly countries.
