Interior Minister Discusses Security Cooperation With Arab Counterparts

Tunis: Sayyid Hamoud Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior held meetings with a number of his Arab counterparts during the 41st session meeting of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in Tunisia.

During his meeting with Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Kamel Al Shammari, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Iraq, Sayyid Hamoud discussed a number of security issues, as well as means of enhancing security cooperation to confront security challenges and rapid changes on the regional and international arenas.

The Minister of Interior also reviewed during his meeting with Bassam Mawlawi, Minister of interior and Municipalities of Lebanon, several topics related to the joint security cooperation between the Arab countries, and touched on the topics of the 41st Meeting of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.

The Minister of Interior held a meeting with Maj.Gen Ibrahim Ali Ahmed Haidan, Yemeni Minister of Interior. The meeting explored aspects of security cooperation and coordination.

Sayyid Hamoud also held a meeting
with Ziad Hab Al Reeh, Minister of Interior of the State of Palestine. The meeting discussed developments in the security arena and means of promoting relations between the two countries in the security field.

During his meeting with Maj. Gen Mohammed Khaled Al Rahmoun, Minister of Interior of the Syrian Arab Republic, Sayyid Hamoud discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and exchanged views on topics of the 41st meeting.

The Minister of Interior also held a meeting with Said Nouh Hassan, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Djibouti. The two sides exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly in security areas.
