Interior Ministry : Implementing successful practices to enhance the security of Basra stadiums in preparation for the Gulf 25

Baghdad The Ministry of Interior confirmed today, Thursday, the implementation of successful practices to enhance the security of Basra stadiums in preparation for the Gulf Cup 25, noting that efforts are continuing to complete all arrangements for the tournament to show it in the best way.

Major General Mahmoud Abu Al-Taman, representative of the Ministry of Interior in the Security Committee for Gulf 25, told the official News Agency: “All government parties represented by the Basra Operations Command and its police, the Popular Mobilization Forces and the province are working in the spirit of one team to complete all the necessary arrangements for the championship.”

He added, “This cooperation will show Basra in the best way to host the Gulf 25, and it is now proud of its people, and the fans of the participating teams will be received and all their requirements will be provided with authentic Iraqi hospitality.”

He continued, “There was supervision over the preparation of security plans and practices for police work inside the city, and all security units were properly distributed and practices were implemented to enhance the security of stadiums inside the Basra stadiums (Al-Nakhla and Al-Mina). The results were fruitful and successful.”
