Iraq, Lebanon discuss solving the Crises That a Number of Arab Countries Suffer From

Baghdad Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein discussed with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bu Habib a solution to the crises that a number of Arab countries suffer from.

A Foreign Ministry statement said that the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs met today, Saturday, with the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of his participation in the preparatory foreign ministers meeting for the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level in its 31st session, which is taking place in Algeria.

During the meeting, according to the statement, they discussed relations between Baghdad and Beirut and ways to advance and develop them, and the latest developments in joint Arab action and ways to unify visions and concerted efforts to confront the challenges the region is witnessing, and to solve the crises that a number of Arab countries suffer from that affect the foundations of security and stability in the region”.

According to the statement, the two sides agreed to continue cooperation and consultation on all issues related to bilateral and Arab affairs.

For his part, Bu Habib congratulated the minister on the occasion of forming the new government and renewing confidence in him as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, stressing his country’s desire to develop bilateral relations and consolidate joint cooperation in a way that achieves prosperity and progress for both brotherly countries.
