The Negev – Ma’an – The Israeli authorities intend to demolish 47 homes for the Abu Asa family in the Hebron Valley near the village of Umm Batin in the Negev region on Wednesday morning. As reported by the Supreme Guidance Committee for Negev Arabs on Tuesday evening.

It said in a statement, “This is the largest home demolition in one day in several years, led by racist ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Amichai Shkli, who want to ignite the Negev in order to deepen racial discrimination and forced transfer.”

The Supreme Guidance Committee for the Arabs of the Negev added, ‘The state is trying to force the residents of the Abu Asa family to move to another place, under threat and intimidation, in favor of extending Route 6 to the south, but they refuse to move to the location proposed for them and are demanding to live in the agreed-upon neighborhood of Tel al-Saba.’

She continued, “The Israeli police intend to close Route 60 and other streets early Wednesday morning, in order to prevent residents from demonst
rating, gathering, and protesting against the crime of demolition and deportation, which is unprecedented in the history of the Negev, and which is being practiced by the Israeli government, police officers, and demolition vehicles against Arab citizens.” In the Negev. – “Arab 48”
