KSrelief Launches Measles Vaccination Campaign for Children in Yemen’s Hajjah

Hajjah, – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated a campaign to administer measles vaccinations to children in the Hajjah Governorate of Yemen.

Governor Abdulkarim Al-Sunaini urged residents in the districts to cooperate with the fixed and mobile health teams to ensure the immunization of children against measles and rubella.

He emphasized the crucial role of these campaigns in combating the spread of viral diseases and expressed profound gratitude to Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for its consistent and swift response in assisting the Yemeni people.

Al-Sunaini commended the Kingdom’s funding of this campaign and other health projects in Hajjah.

The project aims at vaccinating children under the age of 18 and conducting awareness and health education campaigns against measles.

Additionally, the campaign will identify and monitor pregnant women to gather reliable data for effective planning of health services and to promote early immunization for children.

To
achieve its goals, the campaign will utilize eight fixed centers and seven mobile teams across the districts of Midi, Hiran, Abs, and Haradh in Hajjah, and Razih district in Saada Governorate.

A total of 15,384 children are set to benefit from this campaign.
